The only negative thing I've ever had said was one of my gf's coworkers at their company Christmas party. He drives a BMW 4 series coupe. I forget which (not an m4) and was making snide remarks about my car and talking down to me about it subtly. Everyone else at the party was telling me how good it sounded and how much they liked the car. I think it hurt his Bavarian ego.
1) He's a BMW driver, he is better than anyone else, ever.

2) Just remember, other than a little more refinement, the Mustang (GT), at least with PP, has the edge in all performance respects, all at a much lower cost. Maybe the 435ix has a quick 0-60 (4.5s), but 300hp in an almost 4000lb tank doesn't feel very fast beyond first gear.

I've gotten comments about how it's a "redneck car" or how somehow it being an American car it's only quick but the car itself is an inherent piece of shit. The person who made those comments drives a car worth less than an iPhone, so...

I have a friend with a Comp. Orange '15 Ecoboost and I give him gentle ribbing about his car, calling it "Pinto", "Maverick", but we're thick as thieves so we do that just for fun. He often makes fun of me for my love of tan interiors, vinyl tops and wire wheels.

My cousin whom I work with is the definitive douchbag. His wife makes all the money and he'd probably be living under a bridge if it wasn't for her. When I announced I was ordering a '16 GT (with zero options) he started giving me flack about how I shouldn't buy a car I can't afford. He's going to get a Shelby 350 using his wife's money. (Which is complete BS, the dude has never driven/owned a performance car in his life) and I highly doubt with kid #2 recently falling out, she'll let him blow $75k on a toy he'll never use.

Still is funny to listen to that sort of BS come out his mouth.

That's been about the only negative comment, aside from a few folks chiding me for ordering what is essentially a stripper GT. But I say, why pay for something you don't want or need? It still has the V8, same power as a GT Premium, so what do I care? :D
Base is lighter too lol. Though sometimes I regret not getting the premium for the lighting and sync3. Don't care about leather as that shit gets too hot in the summer.

Just stick 5.0 liter emblems on your car and be done with it. A pair cost a whopping $10 to $12 including shipping on eBay.

I want to go in the other direction... I want to order a pair of base level fenders with no badge holes...

In the short time I have had the car all comments have been good. I even had a bag boy, who has no clue about cars ask if it was a Ferrari, since it has the running mustang on the rear. I had to explain to him the difference between the 2 very different horse badges.

The other day a swag kid walked by my car with his friend (I was walking to my car behind them) and the swag kid said, "The GT's are hella clean, ohhhh automatic though, hella weak!"

He then got into his 90's Suburban and left.

+1 for a stripper GT, especially GTPP, which is what mine is. Most performance for the money of any brand/model. All of the luxury and convenience options are just foof that makes higher margins for Ford and the dealer. Although I guess it's less of a stripper when you start throwing $$$ of aftermarket goodies at it...LOL

Us V6/EB owners suffer a lot of comments from these people
1) Teenagers or kids who probably don’t even have a license.
2) V8 owners that don’t realize that not everyone could afford the added cost of the V8.
3) People who drive much slower cars.
4) People who are spoiled and probably had their parents help them out or brought their car for them.

Usually it doesn’t bother me because people like to hate and ive probably gotten 3x more compliments, plus I have the manual trans so I get some cred for that. I will feel a little less manly though when it’s someone who drives a Manual Trans V8 that he/she brought with his own money.
Other than that, the normal folk cannot even distinguish the difference anyway and just see it as a Mustang. Most people don’t even care and if they do…it’s always just a bunch of guys lol.

My current 2016 GTPP just people that stay way behind me, could it be my MBRP catback?

In previous 2015 2.3 PP lots on compliments on the car and then the "look" and then crickets when I told them it was a 4 cylinder.

I've thrown money at strippers before. But they are usually swinging on a pole

Walked out to find one of the guys that I work with drooling over it until he noticed it was an automatic and I told him it was a 4 cylinder and he was like

Took him around the block in it and he was like :eyebulge:

But...but I like my heated/cooled seats and big navigation screen! :( :D

Apparently, my wife does too. The first time I turned on the seat cooling for her, the next thing she said was "Whoa! It feels like champagne bubbles on my butt!"
