Howdy fellow stang friends;
I got my EcoBoost at the end of Sept. but drove very little because I work very close to home and also had a surgery in Oct.
I usually let the car warm up for about 3 min ( I live in Dallas, Tx and it is quite warm still for a winter). I drive fast, from a stop light to the next and usually reach about 85mph (I leave early to work and no much traffic). I used for the first 500 miles with 87 oct gas. Last Thur, I left to South Texas and drove 510 miles one way, using 93 octane and also using the toll road with the highest speed limit in the country. I decided to push all the car would go. I am quite disappointed and maybe I should be, and that is why I am here to ask few questions:
1. How long it takes for the engine to "brake in" (mileage).
2. Is it wrong to drive fast after your engine has warm up and for a short period?
