Get the no tune version and enjoy warranty a bit longer, think about it a while.. and remove restrictor and tune when you feel comfortable.

Installed my Steeda CAI and their SCT canned tune yesterday. In addition, I also have the Corsa extreme exhaust.

I went on a dyno yesterday put down 416RWHP and 361RWTQ. Car still has a lot of power left on the table as the Air to Fuel Ratios were in the mid 11's through out the power band.

Overall happy with the results and a nice safe tune.

Next on the list is BBK long tube headers with high flow cats and a custom tune.

If you used Steeda tune then your car with the restrictor should be making around 408 whp! Steeda tune and non tune dyno results show 8 whp difference! I ll take a 408 whp without a tune any day:cheers:

The baseline on that car was crazy though. I don't think may will see those results without tune

This ^ many may not see that number but the gains should all be close.

This is according to his 416 whp tuned results not Steeda!
Steeda dyno shows the difference between their tuned and non tuned whp gains to be as 8 whp on a same car if i remember right! So that 8 whp gap should be similar across the board if you use their own tune without restrictor and no tune with restrictor!

I went with the non-tune version to start out. I have the tuner so have the option to do a tune down the road. I can say that there is definitely a bump in power with the restrictor version. I did not do any baseline measurements though.:D

Did you disconnect the negative terminal of the battery before the installation as well?
