I knew this car would end up at the drag strip. But I didn't expect people to judge the car by it so much. Especially based off of all reviews about it's power curve. Neither was I expecting this car to launch all that great or have an astounding 60'.

I wonder if Cobra Jet owners will take their CJ's to Laguna and be upset if their lap times don't stack up...

For drag radials, that's not a good 60'. They were saying that track prep was poor. That 60' seems to indicate that

Yeah that's a shitty 60'. 11.8 or better wouldn't be unrealistic with a better 60'.

You got it right here. I have always liked both the Mustangs and Camaros over the years for their "American" heritage though I have never owned either. My biggest gripe against them are the "fans" of both and the constant bickering back and forth on which is better and so on. I could care less! My wife's JEEP will beat both of them 0-60 stock. On the streets, running from light to light is usually a 0-60 match for a lane change. Not something that will get you put in jail like a 1/4 mile run will! But that's not why I ordered my gt350 anyway.

I have been with Nissan Z's for the last 15 years simply because they look cool, have "okay" power, and handle very very well. I was going for a GTR in the long run, though my wife wanted me to get a 911. I was going to "settle" for a Challenger SRT because of $$ and we both agreed with that one.

Then...

Ford announced the GT350 and I realized... I could have both American Muscle and a car that can handle and We can drive it everyday and not have to spend a crap load of $$$. :cheers: :headbang: :ford:

Though that's not the end of the story on why I went with Ford... aka: I was born and raised in San Jose. If that means anything to anyone? ;)
Yeah the 65 / 66 K code mustang was produced there that was used to make the Shelby GT 350. So you both have the same city you were born in. Congrats.

Lost traction and axle hopped on the harder launch, so he had to slip the clutch like you would on stock tires. There's definitely more in it.

I'm fairly impressed with the trap speeds. Use those as a guide as to the power these cars are making.

Yeah I ran a 1.88 60' with the stock 255 Pirellis on my 2011 GT in 34 degree weather at MIR. I'd venture a guess the stock GT350 suspension is unloading the rear tires preventing a solid launch.

I thought the car was stock and only a tune and e85 was used...
The description and Viedo say it has drag radials and BMR suspension pieces.

Gotcha... Thanks Voodoo. I don't have access to the video yet. I knew about the DRs but not the suspension pieces. Interesting. Maybe it was a wheelie bar?... ;)
