There's just as enough "annoying" people backing other brands, so why not back a brand I know that works. If Steeda wanted to put me on their payroll sign me up, hell I don't even need money give me free parts and I'm good.

Trust me others are getting annoyed as well.

Here's an idea, instead of posting useless dyno sheets take the car to the track and see what it does. Then post that up and make believers out of us.

I for one will never run a Steeda part on my car since I know it will never help me at the track.

It's not the fact that you're backing them. I have Steeda parts on my car, too. It's the fact of the boasting a claim that has yet to be proven. CAI, by itself, DOES NOT make 22hp. Adding the tune with the CAI, yes, I wholeheartedly believe 22hp is the truth.

You need to understand that backing a brand, and stating an unpostulated theory are two totally separate entities.

I never stated ANY theory, I simply posted my dyno results. I believe in the brand, and the customer service is out of this world. PMAS was actually my first go to product, but after seeing them dissapear when all the CAI issues came up left a real bad taste in my mouth. So David stepped up to the plate, and offered assistance, and assured me if anything ever happened Steeda would step up and take care of it. I can tell you first hand, he was not lying.

If anyone in the philly area knows someone that would donate dyno time I'd gladly do a comparison between Steeda and stock :D My car is not tuned.

That would be lovely. I might also go with this setup in a month and will definitely dyno before and after the cai without tune.

I ll be pleased even with a 15 whp! 400+ whp without a tune sounds incredible, and you can always go back to stock if something goes wrong.

Have you seen the gt350 engine bay? There is a reason why the car comes from the factory with a Roush looking cold air intake! If nothing else, it should definitely flow better at higher rpm's, tuned or not tuned.

Just to clarify, no one on this forum is on our payroll - there are however enthusiasts which are allowed to boast about the products of their choice.

We don't appreciate people posting erroneous assumptions on gains. The dyno numbers that we post are factual and in a controlled environment. Why is it that Steeda produced higher gains with other CAI's than the manufacturers themselves? It's because we are methodical with our testing and a controlled environment is paramount. Most people just perform back to back runs, look at the gains and call it a day.

We're here to post informative, factual information so the consumer can make an educated decision on how they'd like to customize their car - isn't that what these forums are for? We know that it's impossible to please everyone and customers are going to go with one brand for this reason and another brand for a different reason.

At the end of the day, we're here for the best interest of our customers.

:cheers::cheers:

It is crazy how much debate and hate happens from CAI posts and power increases. Everything thread like this, whether started by a vendor or a forum member turns into a shit fest.

Totally blows my mind.

Be thankful for rigorous testing and development by folks like Steeda. They offer full disclosure on their testing protocol and share everything for the user base. They even open their doors for folks and other vendors to be on premise. The is the reason why Steeda gets my business.

STEEDA. JLT. ROUSH. MMR. AIRRAID.
they all work. 1-2 HP between them all doesn't mean shit. Unless you're a dyno queen.
Thanks Danny for the findings. Glad this intake works for you!!!!!!!
im tuning my MMR cai soon and I will report back with results from my butt dyno. (the most reliable dyno out there.)

This is probably the most ignorant thing I've read today. A dynograph is repeatable as long as you can control the environment...as stated by Steeda during their testing.

A drag strip, driver, and outdoor weather are not controllable factors. They could've taken it to the strip and knocked out a 12.9 stock with 100 degree ambient temp and then a 12.4 a week later at 80 degrees. Does that prove the CAI gave you a .5 second decrease in 1/4 mile time? Not a chance, there are too many variables to consider.

Do you still have the pigtail from the K&N intake? I would like to purchase it from you. I really like my JLT but still think there is slightly too much tension on the MAF harness. And I have it ran the best way with the most slack. Just would like the added piece of mind. Thanks! Feel free to PM if you still have and we can talk price.
Sorry i missed this in all the shit talking going on on my thread.

I am sorry but I sold that along with the intake when she left my possession.
