Why no cams for 15gt?

I spoke with Comp Cams and it looks like all these 15+ cams will be ready to start shipping at the beginning of 2016. We have them available for pre-order on the site along with matching spring and retainer kits if you want to get serious N/A or if you are using a power adder.

Comp makes some of the best off the shelf cams, especially for the mod motors. To the poster saying they've seen cam breakage in the older push rod stuff, can you provide links? I've exclusively used Comp in all of my pushrod 5.0L's and they have not only spec'd out as advertised, but I've never had one EVER have a defect let alone break.

I miss spoke...i didn't mean break, but I meant lobes collapsing/going flat during break in. They were notorious for that back in the day. Not saying you are wrong, but I've seen it.

That sounds more like a lifter issue if the roller isn't spinning or if it were a flat tappet, proper break in wasn't followed. I don't want to say that nothing can ever happen, but when a cam lobe goes flat, it's usually due to very high friction.

Yep.

On a big 'un requiring multiple valve springs (i.e. crazy spring pressure), you'd do your cam break-in running only the outer springs and then put in the inners afterward. Otherwise you're almost guaranteed to ruin a lobe or two.

we do have a large stocking order of stage 2 and stage 3 n/a cams on order

and

stage 1 and stage 2 blower cams on order. i was told today we are about a month away by my rep at comp, but that is not a guarantee, we can take preorders and lock you in on one of our first sets

Can you put me down for a set of stage 2 blower cams.

No. We have the exhaust cam from the boss and we have the intake came from a cobra jet in s550s. I thought that was common knowledge by now.

Absolutely love it. !! To be honest though was a little upset when I saw the new camaros numbers lol kinda a kick in the face that it's overall better as much as I hate to say.

Yeah I love the color and the car ! I'm putting a lot of faith in that these cams are worth the wait and provide good power.! The tiniest of things keep nudging me towards getting 16 camaro than dropping a simple cam in it to be at over 500 whp with Bolton's lol
