Yeah, Comp cam stage 2. Comp cam stage 2. Comp cam stage 2. That said, a custom grind. Which means big bucks.

Like:
Valve lift
Int - .551 in (14mm) Exh - .551 in (14mm)
Camshaft duration
Int – 270deg Exh – 270deg

I happened to talk to Comp Cams tech support earlier this week. Cams like anything else is really part of a package if you're looking for optimum output. Anyway, they claim that the Stage 1 cam set increases power by 30 hp and brings power peak from 7,000 (stock) to 7,600 rpm. The stage 2 nets 40 hp and raises the peak power output another 200 rpm or so over the stage 2. Evidently, this assumes a proper tune (not really defined by them and they don't recommend anyone in particular).

I don't who told you that but, that ain't happening with with the stock Gen3 intake ... Peak power is still around 7100 and drops like a rock ...

I agree unless you plan on a CJ swap, stock cams ..

This isn't a pushrod engine, haha. A cam install will be costly and time consuming and might not be worth the gains you will see from them. But it would be cool and unique as not many people go that direction. If that is what you are looking for, a unique setup, then by all means give it a whirl. If you're just looking for more power then there really is no need to do a swap. The stock cams can make enough HP that you won't need to change them for anything that can be used on the street.

There is a huge backlog on the Gen3 cams from comp right now, at least for the NSR ones. People have been waiting months.

Yup. Any money spent on cams would be better going toward e85 or FI.
