I had gotten the rear mufflers cut and then pipes welded to a 1.5 foot 4" tip. very nice sound with no rasp!

Stock resonators do well at muffling most of the sound, it is quite loud when you put your foot into it even with windows up.
Its only loud for a moment upon startup so you can safely idle it in front of an aprt without having death threats posted at your door.

I was going to do your exact first build until i stumbled on these tips. I figures ah what the hell why not, if anything ill just cut it back off and replace them again. actually came out good. Im sure the tips turned it into a trumpet affect and amplifies the sound much more than your resonated tips.

Nope, i feel it has more pep at WOT but butt dynos are never accurate. Logically it should have a bit more torque at top end due to less restrictions.

Judging by one of my clients v6 mustangs, his sounds about the same maybe a tad quieter. But he has substantially more rasp which I hate.
