I'm scheduled for a muffler delete in the morning and I haven't been able to decide if I should go with 2.25" piping or 2.5" piping.

How would the size of the piping affect the sound?

Trying to avoid drone as much as possible.

I have the stock resonators still and don't have any plans for an H or X pipe anytime soon.
Most of your questions are answered in the Hooker Blackheart thread.

Here is a list of what they are going to be developing for the V6 as a part of their premium Hooker/Blackheart line:

· Axle back exhaust w/o muffler
· Axle back exhaust w/ muffler
· Cat back exhaust w/o muffler
· Cat back exhaust w/ muffler
· Race ONLY long tube headers
· Race exhaust w/ x-pipe w/o mufflers (to fit with long tube headers)
· Race exhaust w/ x-pipe w/ mufflers (to fit with long tube headers)
· Shorty header

Axle back exhaust w/o muffler. there are more vids in the thread

Well totally got ripped off. Quoted $240 for pipes and tips over the phone dropped the car off.

At pick up for just pipes (they didnt have tips i wanted) $316 cause it took 3 hours and 40 bucks a per weld. I complained and paid 240 for just the pipes and walked out pissed off.

So I got pipes sticking out the back now without tips and they want 80 bucks per tip... crazy lol. 400 bucks for a muffler delete? GTFO.

But hey it sounds good so far. got it up to 80 cruising on the highway, and theres a slight resonance/volume increase. But anything below 75 is 95% drone free.
Damn dude that sucks, seems like shops in other areas think a muffler delete is some sort of big custom job lol. Here in LA shops do muffler deletes with their eyes closed in 30 mins max, and I've never heard of anyone pay more than $180. Anyway, ebay and Summit racing have good tips for 30-50 a piece. PS. unless they were COMPLETE IDIOTS I call bullshit on it taking 3 hours, I know guys here that can make you a full custom catback in an hour, likely your car sat for 2+ hours before they even touched it. I smell a bad yelp review coming.

LOL. Ad says "increases horsepower".
Well, DC Sports primary market is Honda... so 4 inch tips on 90-100hp Civics. Honestly for the price they are a pretty good looking piece. The only thing I don't like is the DC Sports logo that is welded on the top of them (I'd prefer no logo at all) but when they are in place properly I think it will be hidden by the bottom of the bumper so you won't be able to see it unless you put your face right up to it to peek in the few centimeters between the bumper and the top of the exhaust tip.
