There we go, that seems to work now...
Kind of a noob question - but how do you change your theme? Or are you on Tapatalk and not the 6G website?

Thanks!

Did you ruin your first clutch? This is my first stick shift car, I had driven stick a number of times before I bought it but never had my own. I wonder what kind of damage I am doing to my clutch all the time. My driving could definitely be smoother haha.

Super cool of the dealer to do that for you though!!
I'm in the same boat as you but had only driven a stick shift once before. 8700 miles later I think my clutch is still doing fine!

So much wrong here. Half of all cops I've seen in Texas (Austin/Dallas/Houston) attempt to write speeding tickets while patrolling. This is only possible with radar, as laser has to be aimed from a fixed position, at least currently. Radar is also much easier for a cop to use, and I know a few who prefer to just use radar. In more rural areas, false alarms are greatly reduced and range is fairly increased. I've also had my Laser detection go off when the cop hit a car ~100 ft in front of me, which definitely saved me from a ticket as I was considering passing him. Lastly, >10mph over the limit is 'like an asshole'? Where do you live? I-10 from Austin to Houston traffic moves at around 85 mph, or 15 over the limit. The assholes would be the ones slowing this traffic. It's situation-dependent, obviously.
There is not so much wrong there. So half the cops you see use radar, great that means half the cops you see are using laser. It only takes one with a laser to ticket you. Your detector isn't going to warn you. laser does not spread like radar. The hit you got on your detector was aimed at you not the car in front of you. The cop may have just decided you weren't going fast enough for him to bother ticketing. The officers in my family usually wont bother anyone going up to 10mph over. Some officers are more lenient than others. You may have just gotten lucky. You keep up your false sense of security with your detector. If you are driving around needing it then you are probably driving like an asshole.

If you live in the county that I do, only 1 or two have laser and none of them have moving radar. They have to be stationary to get your speed (except for state patrol). That being said, I have a question. If anyone who has a radar detector in the car is prolly driving like a jackass which what seems like to me means anything 11mph or over. If you aren't ever gonna drive faster than the speed limit, why did u but a new mustang? Stick with a Prius, people buy these cars to go fast and make a lot of noise. That being said I do not have a radar detector in my car, I just take my chances. And if people think I drive like a jackass for speeding then oh well, there are worse habbits I could have while driving other than speeding

So half of the time i'll be able to know there is a cop coming up. Also I've only been hit with a laser once since living here for 8 years and he let me off with a warning. I'm also usually driving 10+ mph over the speed limit, not because I'm an asshole but because that's the flow of traffic.

You can't be that stupid can you? The street is not a race track. There are families in the other cars you are endangering by driving like an asshole. I bought my car because I like it and when I want to go fast I take to the damn track instead of driving like an asshole on the street endangering other people and their family just so I can feel like a bad ass to myself. Grow up.

I got into an argument with some idiots on Facebook over the same thing :tsk: illegal street racing videos being posted and claiming they were "in Mexico", which is the lamest excuse in the world; worse yet when the video shows them passing by a building with a giant American flag

Yeah, I bought a Mustang to go faster. But guess what? This is why they have tracks and group track days.

To be clear though, driving in California is quite different. Generally the flow of traffic when it's not congested is faster than the speed limit - that's just the way it is. If you're going with the flow, you're almost always safe from law enforcement. However if someone chooses not to exceed the speed limit and therefore go slower than the flow of traffic, then they need to move over to the far right. If they do that in the left lane(s), then they are just simply being a dick.

Nope not stupid at all, I do my drag racing at a strip and my road racing at a auto x so honestly I'm very mature about when I push the limits of my car, but to call some one an asshole due to speeding? Really? Like the other gentleman said, flow of traffic in some places is 10+mph faster than the speed limit. I consider someone not using a blinker during rush hour traffic, or someone running all the way up the side of a turn off lane then cramming their way into they turn off lane even tho they knew for 3 miles they had to be over there causing more of a traffic jam being ass holes, not someone going 15mph over the speed limit, but to each his own I guess

I care about infotainment
Removed the clutch spring, and finished hardwiring the Blackvue 2-channel dashcam. The dashcam is great; easier install than I thought.
