I have a Corsa Extreme (I know), and I live in a condo complex. Someone left a note on my car complaining about early am start-ups; I leave every morning for work before 6 am. Any ideas besides yanking the catback or choking my neighbor out?
That is absolutely ridiculous. 6AM isn't even THAT early! If I were you, I'd start it up the next morning, and give it a good 5 or 6 revs to 4-5k RPM and then leave a note on your own car saying "It could be worse". Then after that has been established, I'd do my best to just be as quiet as possible when going through the complex, that's all you could do without removing the exhaust (which would be absurd :headbang:)

however if you don't have a garage, you run the risk of them messing with your car as you stated (get cameras for the police report). To each his own

I have the corsa xtreme, I usually leave my garage door shut while it warms up (insulating foam on the garage door helps a little)

My neighbors have always been really cool with me and I try to make it easy on them because the ones behind me just had twins and I'd like to keep shit civil.

I wish I could run an electric cutout into a nice silent muffler while leaving the neighborhood

exactly. neighborhoods within minutes of the state's main airport here... you don't see an uprising about it ever from neighborhoods near it. People live with it and it doesn't even effect real estate. Of course it's a very very big non-liberal area where people aren't fussing over everything too. I can see other places in this country who get upset over every dang thing complaining though, like a very nice brand new 2015 v8 mustang.
Good point. Only liberals fuss about things.

.....and the "right winger" retired old man neighbor will just put a bullet in you or your car.
That's the American way.

Only a p***y-ass liberal would stick a note on a windshield.

[Probably used used that fancy joinedy-upped ritin' too. ]

I'm talking 10-15 seconds with the air on recirc the whole time, haha.

Now when winter comes around and it takes longer than that time for the rpm's to drop I'm not sure what I'll do.

If you're willing to risk yours by trespassing onto private property in a castle law state where it is allowed to protect yourself and belongings with force. Then try your hand at it. Or be a responsible adult and don't trespass and vandalise people's belongings.

Maybe I'm wrong but my father taught me if its not yours, don't touch it.
I struggled for a while with deciding whether or not I should tell you that you can't shoot someone over defense of personal property in South Carolina. On one hand, I'd hate to have you shoot someone over a car. On the other hand, I wouldn't feel too bad if someone as crazy as you ended up in jail because they wanted to shoot someone over a car.

Tough choice.

Be careful.....I have a CO detector in my kitchen which is a pretty good ways from the garage. Leave the car in the garage running more than a minute and it goes off :eyebulge:

To my knowledge the castle law would only apply here if you were actually in your car while it was being vandalized. The only state I'm aware of that will allow the use of deadly force to protect property is Texas.
