Search around. I posted a datalog from an on track session using a Levels Performance intercooler. HUGE difference from stock.

That's exactly what I'm looking for, thanks!

Here's a little real world for you.
TX, 98℉ ambient air temperatures, 90℉ Inlet Air Temps, no tuner, so no charge temps.
First pass was 14.190 @ 98MPH. So happy and impressed with that run as it was .500 under the 3 runs from two weeks ago.

Inlet Air Temps jumped to 120℉, next runs showed 14.6 and 14.7 range for 3 runs.
Last run was after a 30 minute hood up cool down and it still had 140℉ Inlet Air Temps.

After the 3rd run, air temp dropped to 82℉ and I still had the high IATs.
When I was done, I hit the open highway at 70MPH, IATs did not drop for over 15 minutes before they matched ambient air temperature.

I believe that is the textbook example of heatsoak.

I need an easy to install IC the covers me to 400-450HP on a stock turboed daily driver in 110℉ ambient temps, humidity and 1320' floggings on a monthly basis. Whatcha got for me?

Thanks for the data, I went ahead and purchased a MAP IC, for me it was between that and the Mishimoto because I didn't want to modifying anything, easy install, etc. I went with MAP because of the stock style mounting and the billet end tanks, I also noticed a crack in the weld on the stock photo from Mishimoto which wasn't too confidence inspiring. I wish I had more data on the core of the 2 units.

Doh!
Good eye!
Sorry this image was incorrectly portrayed! The line you see around the weld is actually a tape-line from the powder-coating process, this is not a crack. Our photographed sample featured raw aluminum brackets, which did not properly reflect the final product. The line seen in the image is a tape line from the first batch of prototype units which did not feature a coated mounting bracket. Our final product does feature a powder-coat on the full intercooler, with the exception of the coupler connection points and the sensor port.

Thanks
-John

Yeah there was no cracks in my mishimoto IC. All the welds were nice and clean.

IAT doesn't measure charge air temperatures, it measures intake air temperatures.

High charge air temps result in reduced timing and reduced timing results in power loss.

Here are two logs, first one is a stock intercooler car and the second is a car equipped with our intercooler. Take a look at the timing curve versus the charge air temp. You will see that the first one comes up in timing then gradually tapers off, peak timing on this graph was before 130° Charge Air Temp. The second graph you will see timing goes up and up and up.

Both cars are on E30 and have the same modifications besides intercooler.

As you can see I'm able to run much more timing on the second car because of the significantly lower charge air temps. There is easily a 40whp difference between these cars because of timing alone.
No wonder after one or two hard pullls my car has no power. I hope my intercooler is coming soon.

How many of these have you guys made thus far?
