Interesting, i ve seen dyno graphs of cars here in this forum showing 395+ whp with just a catback upgrade. Also the dyno graphs of Gibson and other companies showed gains but that might be the difference of 87 vs 93 octane fuel with a broken in engine. Its hard who to trust here lol.

My dyno before Whipple install with only FFRP Sport kit.

What were you putting down before the catback? Because the look of it that graph only shows a 13% drivetrain loss for a stock 435 hp crank horepower coyote! That should be the stock number for the car.

I'm not the be all end all on the matter let me put that right out there lol.

But.... Based on your 13% guess on drivetrain loss a car with 379 rwhp with 13% loss would be the stock advertised 435 hp (379 / .87 = 435.64)

This is assuming the car only has 435 hp but it might be more.

My dyno result with the same equation (386 / .87 = 443.68) is 8.04 gain.

But from what I'm told the industry standard is 15% drivetrain loss

15% stock is estimated (370 / .85 = 435.29)

15% mine is estimated (386 / .85 = 454.12)

This example is 18.83 more hp

Either way is more than 3-5 and based on industry standard its 18.83

Get ready, the flood gates are about to open lol

Yup but i ve seen a lot of dyno graphs here and there is also a dyno adjustment factor to your numbers anyways, the s type also has a 3" setup compared to 2.5" setup on the Touring. That might also give different results.

It is interesting that i ve seen also stock cars putting down wait for it, 400 whp on a dyno graph and it also depends on the dyno. Thats is why people always ask about the stock and after dyno graphs to see the resonable increase. I ll definitely dyno my car before i do the exhaust setup though. The force is strong with this one

Anyone know if they plan to offer this with black tips? I know the S-type has them but I'm hoping they add black tips to the other exhausts as well.

Nope. Only on the S type. But the Frpp borla touring does have black.

Yeah, but on a couple videos I've watched the FRPP Touring has a hollow, tinny undertone to it and gets raspy in the higher RPMs. Without hearing it in person can't tell if that sound is really there or just an audio recording problem since I don't hear it in all the clips. And the Borla touring doesn't seem to get that raspy in the higher RPM range, granted there aren't as many comparison videos for it either. All of that along with people talking about drone issues in the FRPP thread have me looking elsewhere. Wonder how hard it would be to get the tips blackened. With the price difference it might be an even wash to get that done.

The FFRP Touring kits use an X pipe and the Borla Touring kits use a mid muffler instead of X pipe and that is why it sounds different than the FFRP kit and why I switched to it.

Yeah I like how the mid muffler design is just like OEM. The one clip I heard sounds really good too.

Yeah, I'm really leaning to the Borla Touring. Ordering a 2016 tomorrow, guard w/ black accent package. Really hoping to avoid the shiny exhaust tips.

Since the borla touring uses a mid muffler instead of a x pipe, would you say that its less raspy in person compared to the FFRP touring?

I was quoted around 75 for a pair of tips powder coated.

Absolutely. I would say it's deeper as well but that's obviously the mid muffler. It also is noticeably quieter.

I absolutely loved the sound of my FFRP Sport exhaust though. The only reason I switched is because I'm doing Kooks LT headers and did not want my exhaust to get any louder than it was. I am guessing the Kooks/Borla Touring will get me closer to the db of the FFRP Sport kit.

Thanks for replying, I cant wait ro hear that combo of yours :)
Ive been stuck between the MBRP Street series exhaust or the Borla touring. I was just worried about the touring being more raspy than deep. Makes my decision being more difficult lol
