Every time i wash my car i have a bunch of white water spots. Has anyone filtered their water and if so what do what you guys recommend? I'm looking for something that attaches to a garden hose.

Filters don't flow enough to get a good rinse unless you want to invest a good amount of $. Mine is RR and I have the same problem. Best I've been able to do is blower dry big drops off and crevices, towel dry remaining and finish with a detailer spray. I always keep a good base of sealant/wax though.

Avoid washing in direct sunlight. Also use a softer stream of water she rinsing off soap to sheet it off instead of a hard direct stream which h will produce a lot more water droplets then a smooth soft stream.

White vinegar wipes them right up like magic!
This works.

And definitely not in direct sunlight and have the towel (or blower) ready to dry right as you put the nozzle down. The more time the water sits on the car the more chance of waterspots.

Get a good coating of sealant on the car. Makes drying much easier. Also found that using a wet microfiber towel works better than dry. Ammo NYC videos are awesome, don't recommend the products though. Too expensive for what you get.

Deionized water system. Can let the water dry in sun, with no spots. Only should be used for final rinse though.

Remember the Mr. Clean Car Wash sprayer that took the filter cartridge? I use to use it, and it worked great ... just do a final rinse with the filtered water and zero water spots without touching it. Sad thing is they stopped making the Mr. Clean wash sprayer and the filters. It was inexpensive too ... have not seen anything comparable since for the price.

Still have mine, and 6 new filters left, good for 10-12 rinses each. stocked up a long time ago. It is too bad they quit making them, filters are impossible to find now.

Yep, I tried to find filters for it maybe 2 years ago and could only find some on eBay at some crazy price gouge price!

I rinse my cars using well water that is quite hard (calcium). Leaving water droplets on the cars will definitely leave water spots. I bought a hand leaf blower when I bought my new 2015. I have four coats of protection, sealer and wax. The blower removes 99% of the rinse water...it only takes one microfiber drying towel now rather than four. No water spots...I have started to use the blower on my other cars now.

I might have to do the same thing. I have well water here too. I have to constantly chase the shade around my yard as to not leave water spots. Its a PITA to say the least.

I have a California Car Covers squeege. One swipe across the car and it removes all the water so no spots. It only takes a couple of minutes to squeege the car after washing.

Home Depot and Lowes sell filters designed for supplying an entire house. They're like $50 and should be easy to plumb in before a hose spigot.

Anyone tried them?
