I have a lot of calcium in my water. Has anyone found a good in line filter the added to their hose to just filter the hose water ? I dont have access to the main line to add a filter at that location but I really need to do something as it is a pain on warm days as it leaves water marks like crazy.
Just looking for any suggestions as I am not interested in buying a $300 car wash/softener

Pick up one of the ones they use for boats, it is a canister that hooks inline on a hose.
West Marine has tons.
You could also check RV supply stores.

I bought one off Amazon. Problem is the outlet is much smaller and is not a true in line filter as I cant reconnect the hose on the output side. I guess I could find out if they make an adapter to connect to a hose but the one I had looked like there would be minimal flow output.

I use it and it works...I pull the filter after each use and recharge it by soaking like shown. However, you don't need to buy their recharge pellets...as an fyi, all they are is water softening salt you can get at publix...http://www.publix.com/p/RIO-PCI-141707

I didn't get mine from there...I did some searching back in the day and found it cheaper elsewhere. What I got was the clear canister and a soft water filter to fit it. If I were to do it again, I might just have gotten it from autogeek to save the time. I've always wanted to stop by their place in Stuart as I go to south florida to visit family every once in a while.
