Anybody know of a good product that will remove water spots without damaging the vinyl stripe? Stripes are a matte finish.

Dont clay bar the vinyl.

A good detailing spray should do the trick as well as protect it from fading.

Used Adams and Chemical Guys VO7. They did nothing.

I have some severe hard water out my way... spray detailers do not work on bad water sports.. I have used many brands... What will work is a distilled vinegar cut with distilled water in a spray bottle... the only draw back to this is that is also strips the wax as well

Ok. I tried:
Distilled vinegar and water. Maybe on paint, but did not do it on my vinyl.
Detailing spray. Used Adams and CG VO7. Nothing
Tried Meguiars 205 and Adams orange paint correcting polish. Cleaned the stripe, but did not get rid if the spots.
Simple green. Nothing
Adams VRT. Nothing
Mothers VRL nothing
Heat from a paint gun. Nothing
Tried 303 protectant. Nothing
Meguiars Plastx. Nothing
Anybody have any other ideas?

McKee’s 37 Matte Finish Cleaner & Protectant is an all-in-one cleaner, detailer and protectant for matte paint finishes, vinyl decals, clear bras, paint protection films and flat graphics. The powerful cleaning formula removes dirt, grime, fresh water spots,

Therein lies the problem, this sounds like something that has baked/soaked in. If none of those remedies have gotten it off, it's likely soaked in to the clear-coat of the vinyl. You won't get it out without literally taking off the clear-coating of the vinyl. It's in the same vein as the pen mark on my seat. I tried everything, but I hadn't noticed it until a few weeks after it happened because it's by my right hip and I ass-first into the vehicle all the time and never see it. It's actually going away because I keep applying conditioner and literally soaking it further into the material.

Vinyl needs protection just like the paint. I couldn't wash my vinyl when it was done but I still misted it and applied some sealant and a coat of wax right away, and now everything just cleans right off. Sorry to say but you're probably stuck with that spot, but with a good sealant and wax, you probably won't notice it, you'll protect them from further damage, and with time it might just work itself out. You'll likely do more damage at this point continuing to try and remove it.

Had bad water spots from a leak in my carport. Nothing worked until I tried Distilled White Vinegar mixed 50/50 with tap water in a spray bottle. Let car sit in sun & get really warm/hot, works much faster. Leave it on for about 5-10 seconds & water spots are completely gone. Does stripe wax but does the job. Worked on my paint as well as vinyl graphics. Cost was low, $2.48 for the vinegar.
