To be fair, quite a few people seem to only be considering the appearance when judging this refresh and not taking into consideration the changes below the surface. This car is getting a new chassis and three engine choices, including a brand new DI V6 and entry level turbo 4.Camaro6 forum is not at all happy about the new camaro and I love it! Tons of polls are already up and it's a resounding "meh" and "5th Gen please". GM struck out even with some of their biggest fanboys. I just want to post a general "Thank You, Ford!" For not screwing us over with an overhyped, refurbed '14!!
Understood. But it appears Ford is trying to phase out the V6 in the Mustang. I would not be surprised at all to see it gone for the 2017 or 2018 model year. At that point I could see a 2.0 liter EB base model around 300 HP, a mid-range 2.3 EB around 340 to 350 HP and the 5.0 going direct injection for 450-470 HP. If I had to choose between a V6 and a turbo 4 at approximate HP levels I'd take the turbo four. That's just me. If you want a V6 Mustang I'd suggest getting one soon. I foresee a day without a V6 in the Mustang coming soon.I personally find the idea of a midrange DI V6 with good power and decent fuel economy pretty appealing, especially for a car I would be commuting with.

I agree that they are judging on looks alone but honestly most consumers will avoid a bad looking car regardless of performance. I can tell you that the interior would have to change more than the exterior of our cars did before it would be even close to acceptable. To be fair, quite a few people seem to only be considering the appearance when judging this refresh and not taking into consideration the changes below the surface. I agree that the initial pics seem very underwhelming. The front looks pretty good, but the rear is decidedly meh. That said, I'd like to see some better shots of the car other than the crude TV screenshots we've seen thus far. It will be easier to make a judgment with pics that include the side profile and have some better angles and perspective.
I personally think that regardless of design, Camaro is marketing this car the right way. As Spartan noted earlier, they are giving the buyer three engine choices and allowing them to build each car how they want no matter which engine they choose, whereas Ford only allows you a base car with the V6 option. From a business perspective, I think GM's decision is the smarter one.

MotorWeek said the design was more evolutionary than revolutionary, but I think I will have to agree with you on that!I would have said the Mustang was an evolutionary design from the 2014. Seeing the Camaro's version of evolution, I'm prepared to say the Mustang was revolutionary in retrospect.
Freaking A man! The S550 is without a doubt stunning. Thank you Ford! And especially thank you for giving us good rear visibility AND a backup camera!Camaro6 forum is not at all happy about the new camaro and I love it!
