So dissapointed in the 16 design. Thought it was going to be more curvy and have a new modern look. This is bleh.
it's not a redesign, it's a refresh

The design is visually disappointing as if I'm not surprised after the weeks of GM teasing and hyping the car. I do like the hood shape and the front end in general isn't horrible, but remains virtually unchanged. The rear end isn't appealing at all. From a performance standpoint the mustang is in trouble, but not enough to counter the bad looks of the car. The 2015 Mustang redesign was much better IMO. Ford redesigned the car to appeal to more than just die-hard Mustang enthusiasts. The entire design has both a functional and visual appeal to it. GM admitted to designing this car for Camaro enthusiasts hence the even worse visual blind spots to maintain the Camaro look. They claim that Camaro owner's would rather have blind spots than give up some of the standard Camaro body lines.
My throught were, Gm had direct some camaro enthusiasts in camrao forum to said thing that gm wanted them to said and support gm current visablity problems. gm dont have the resources to design camaro from the ground up like s550, so its easier to put words in camaro enthusiasts and much cheaper than to redesign new platcorm for 6g camaro. Now we all can see thT gm using their magical cut and paste design come to be ugly as hell.

I think it looks a little better down the sides with some subtle curves but no comparison to an S550, but I really have ZERO interest in owning a Camaro.

I really can't imagine the previous owners didn't want them to change the visibility outward, don't know how anyone could live with that every day.

It will be interesting to see the interior. Surely, it will be nice. GM can make some great interiors and hasn't pretty much everyone complained about the current one?...anything would be an improvement to the existing car.

I have to admit something right now: I like all American cars being a car guy. But if I was forced to buy a modern Camaro, I would go with any version of the 5th gen body. The 6th gen IMO is way too rounded. I liked the sharper edges and huskier design of the 2010-2015s. And to just slap a camera and reverse sensing system on the back because enthusiasts did not want to sacrifice design? Even the S550 evolved a lot and still can receive those packages. My only concern now though is that the SS now has magnetic ride and I think the GT350 suspension should trickle down a bit to the GT.

I would have said the Mustang was an evolutionary design from the 2014. Seeing the Camaro's version of evolution, I'm prepared to say the Mustang was revolutionary in retrospect.

Somebody needs to rename this thread "SuicideWatch" given what I see over on C5/C6 regarding their impressions of the 6th Generation.

Maybe some of them will wise up and see that GM doesn't care as much about them as they think they do.

I was over there yesterday and one of the threads talking about the new gen mysteriously disappeared after a few negative comments.

Camaro6 forum is not at all happy about the new camaro and I love it! Tons of polls are already up and it's a resounding "meh" and "5th Gen please". GM struck out even with some of their biggest fanboys. I just want to post a general "Thank You, Ford!" For not screwing us over with an overhyped, refurbed '14!!

Personally I do not think it looks half bad... Fixes some of the issues I have had with the 5th gen... Put some better aftermarket taillights that mimic the C7 corvette taillight design and the back should look much better. I think the problem is exactly what others have said. People were expecting a complete redesign of the Camaro when all they are getting is a refreshed 5th gen design.

I want to see the interior redesign and more specifically the "Unique control rings around the air vents used for temperature and fan speed adjustments, eliminating the need for conventional buttons". That is something that is pretty interesting and that I have not seen done before.

But seriously... What is the point of the 2.0T? I understand it is their base model engine but you can't tell me it cost less then an NA V6. To me it is literally just a "we have one too" type model.
