Compression Ratio on 350?

Does anyone know what the compression ratio on 350GT engine is? I haven't seen it anywhere. I wonder if it is boost friendly.

I would not put boost on this motor.
Why not? Plenty of booster E92 M3s with high compression ratios and high rpm ceilings. I wouldn't so it myself, but there's no reason why you couldn't boost it.

Why not? Plenty of booster E92 M3s with high compression ratios and high rpm ceilings. I wouldn't so it myself, but there's no reason why you couldn't boost it.

Top ring is for N/A, ring land is very close to top and very thin, little to no additional support in skirt. Engine is made for high rpm and makes big power, there is not a lot of reserve material in it. IMO I don't know why anyone would upset the balance this car has (already too much power) buy adding additional power to it.

You're absolutely correct not upsetting the balance of this car. The boost question was just a question.
But the ring is very critical. In my Z06 days, my friend blew his boosted Z06 engine, due to over heating and breaking the ring and everything else went south from that point.

I'd stay with that linear power delivery of this engine. It will be like my old M3, but faster and louder. :D

I find it hard to believe that the 5.2 will only make just north of 520hp. 12.5:1 compression, better flowing heads when compared to the Boss, higher lift cams, flat plane crank and better exhaust scavenging, bigger bore for more cubes and valve unshrouding, better intake and larger valves. When I compare certain N/A builds of the Coyote to this motor, they make over 600hp at the fly wheel. This motor should make a good deal more hp then what has been hinted so far. Opinions?

I think it will be capable of that (or more), but would be surprised to see that much power straight from the factory with a warranty. Time will tell how hard they were willing to push it.

as doc holiday said, it is capable but safely is the key. This technology is pretty much brand new to Ford. I may be wrong about this, but I don't think they've ever made 100 HP/Liter NA from factory before. From what I've read they had to dial back the power a bit as it gave them issues otherwise. All of this taken into account was why I bought the 5.0. It has been proven to make good power reliably over the last few years, and this year they only improved it further. This new 5.2 will probably take a few years for Ford to iron out the design and then it'll most likely replace the coyote as long as emissions and safety standards don't stand in the way. Making it in limited numbers reduces the cost if they start failing and require a TSB or a recall all together. The engine in theory, should be fairly strong but with high quality parts comes high cost. We shall see how it turns out in the coming years with abuse...

I agree with above, I think they can make bigger power easy, but will play safe.
So question is, how much can a good tune pull from existing without adding parts?
But with what we know, the design of car, for a NA engine.
this thing will be a beast. Maybe not fastest in straight line, but some turns and it will be
by by to most cars on the road:) Even then, it should have good straight line speed.
