V6 vs Eco debates actually usually stay civil and are much more fact based rather than senseless bashing. I think the only the to know about the dyno charts is that the EB will have more downlow get up and go and the V6 won't die as hard up top. Comparing the cars using different dynos/trans/fuels isn't going to be constructive

As a 2011 V6 owner (zero regrets!) and 2015 V8 buyer, I'll say you cannot go wrong with ANY Mustang. Just buy it and enjoy the heck out of it.

Sound is subjective to a person, but having a "holier than thou" attitude about your car (whatever you drive, GT, EcoBoost, V6) isn't contributing to the discussion but rather just makes you like a D-bag.

That said, lets just keep this to constructive discussion and leave your "holier than thou" opinions out of this thread.

So no mag has done a comparison yet, correct?
That's what I was hoping for...

With the info right now, looks like I would go V6.

And yeah, regarding the sound... clear case there v8 > v6 >>> i4 ;)

Saying that I think the v6 sounds better than the ecoboost is me acting holier than thou? Cool story.

I remember reading that someone maxed out a V6 with bolt ons at 330HP and 300TQ. After that all thats left is supercharging. That'll probably net you 450-475HP but at those numbers you may already be at the breaking point of the stock block.

You don't have to run 93 in the EB. It will run on 87

You don't, but you'll be down on power (something like 13%) and some owners have reported their cars running a little rough with 87. Stick with 87 if you don't want to spend much on fuel, as the MPG gains from 87 to 93 is negligible, and 93 if you want to take advantage of all the power from your car.

I think he means that you'd have to run premium to get the advertised HP. That would be an interesting comparison, HP on v6 vs ecoboost with 87.

I dont remember if there was a power increase with higher octane on the V6 vs 87. But it would be interesting to see.

There's literally only one V6 2015 dyno ever done so far AFAIK and it's this:

:ford:
If I'm reading that right, is it 275HP 280TQ?
