The eco has a torque hit early on that feels very v8 like. That is something you're going to run into more on a daily driver vs long full throttle runs where the v6 shines. It's nice hearing the turbo spool up and feeling that tq come on. I'm getting my v8 like torque and 4 cylinder fuel economy. If you're feeling any kind significant difference in torque it's placebo.
The difference is in low speed city driving and when the EB is run on 87. When your EB is out of boost it is a standard 2.3l 4 cylinder which is going to feel more sluggish in certain situations then the 3.7l. On 87 octane your EB is only able to produce 20 more TQ then the 3.7l on 87. You really are not going to feel that in a 3500+ lb car. Now I know what your going to say... On 93 the EB produces 40 more TQ but then that is going to negate your fuel savings and might actually end up costing more the the V6 using 87.The eco has a torque hit early on that feels very v8 like. The moral of the story: The EB and V6 are VERY similar in performance and benefits in stock form. The OP just needs to drive both and decide which one he is going to enjoy more.
IMO OP it really sounds like you are going to be happier with an EB. If I had the option between a 051A V6 and a EB PP with only a $300 price difference then I would certainly have gone with the EB.

Two completely different things. No one here is saying that the EB has NO benefit over the V6. Yes when you start modifying these two cars the EB has a MASSIVE advantage over the 6. But in base stock form they are almost identical in power and benefits.Placebo torque effect. lol. So why add any bolt ons if I'll only experience placebo effect from it?

There might be a few EB guys willing to grab a lane and give it a shot. We all know the EB has proven to be a turd on the track...Yeah getting that 4 cylinder fuel economy with 93 octane. And I prefer my power throughout the entire rpm range instead of dying out....that's how cars pass you in a race lol
Please record this. :cheers:There might be a few EB guys willing to grab a lane and give it a shot. We all know the EB has proven to be a turd on the track...
