Mishimoto might be able to help you out, but if you ordered after midnight EST (11pm local for you) the price had probably clicked over. Just like with Amazon all sale/price changes are (or at least were) based on california times.

Now for feedback to the can itself. Got it in the mail 2 days ago and it was well packaged. Waiting for warmer weather and my first oil change to install.

Good to know. Got mine today, looks like a real quality product. Now if it gets above 10 degrees around here I'll install it.
Same, got mine yesterday as well, I'll get it installed once it isn't freezing outside. I have a garage, but getting a car in there is an insanely tight fit...it's really more of a motorcycle garage.

Fantastic! Looking forward to your results.

Did the second shipments go out? Just checking, because I still didn't get a shipping notice.
If you still did not receive an invoice I would certainly expect one today. Our warehouse team has been a bit slammed the past few days but I imagine all orders should be out by the weekend.

Sorry for the delay!

Yeah I was determined not to lay on cold garage floor lol. If you have small hands you will have no prob.
Thanks for the order!

Mine says delivered. I'll be back in town later tonight and will install it this weekend, in the garage, with heaters going. Supposed to be -4 tonight. Send me back to warm and sunny Idaho already.
Great, please post up your results when installed. We are supposed to see a slight increase in temperature this weekend here in DE.

I just went to preorder a catch can and and the price has changed from $130 to $215. I thought that that pre sale was available until Friday the 20th.
Interesting, it does appear that our team made the switch a bit earlier. Shoot me a PM and we can certainly set you up with the discounted pricing!

Sounds good!

Thanks guys!

Received mine yesterday. How-ever at this point in time, it's doubtful that we'll be moving forward ordering our Eco Mustang. So stay tuned for a possible "Catch Can For Sale" at the 'pre-order price'.

Sorry to hear that! Hopefully you can pick one up in the future.

I got back in town about 12:30 last night. Stopped by my office and picked up the catch can that had been delivered yesterday. Was thinking I'd pull the car in the garage today and install it. That's not going to be possible yet. I didn't realize how much snow had fallen at my place. Not going to be able to get the car near the garage until after this snow melts. Expecting another 6 inches tomorrow. Bummer. So it'll be at least 2 weeks before I can install it as I'm going out of town again Monday morning.

As far as the product itself. From initial appearances it seems very well made, and the hoses are definitely properly done. It was all packaged very well and I want to commend Mishimoto for delivering what they said they would.

So...

A few things. First off, installed mine, everything looks really nice.

Second, Mishimotos install video isn't much help lol.

First and foremost, remove the engine cover. There are two studs and two nuts.
Second... getting to the quick disconnect hoses is a pain. The one from up too isn't too bad, but the lower hose seriously sucks, took us a few minutes on a creeper just finding it, and a bit longer to actually disconnect it...

Issue number one... in the video, they showed the fittings being threaded completely into the can. This was not possible with ours. Our fittings were plastic and they started to round off the edges before we could get much further in.

Overall, despite the plastic fittings(i wish they were metal) this is an extremely solid piece that took about 45 mins to install, including unboxing and watching the video.

:)

Mine's still in it's box. Perhaps I'll make the trek to "I" and ask for your help!

Good info, thanks! I would think with the fittings being plastic you need to be careful in how much torque you put on them.

Mishimoto: Would you recommend putting some teflon tape or thread sealant on those fittings?

The install video does seem to be more promotional than informational, IMO.

My kit came with three Mishimoto brochures! One was plenty for me!

I definitely agree those plastic fittings did not want to go the whole way in. I was able to get them pretty close but it felt like they we're going to snap.

What size are the fittings going into the can ?

I can see if we have any of the nickel performance fittings available to upgrade the plastic fittings for you. Yes it is always a great idea to use teflon tape or a thread sealant on them.

Also the Dirty Side line from the oil pan can be removed in a few minutes from the driver side of the vehicle. You will need a 12" screwdriver from the tip to the end of the handle so you can slip it down past the throttle body to right above the quick connect button on the connector to slip over the oil pan connection tube.

Once you feel the screwdriver there with your right hand already around the fitting from the bottom with your palm facing upwards. You will use your fingers to squeeze the screwdriver against the quick connect button and it will allow it to release and the tube can be pulled off all in the same motion.

Then for the top quick connect button simply just use the screwdriver to push the button in from the top and pushing will make the hose come off. Then you can either remove it by pulling it out from the bottom or through the tunnel between the throttle body and the manifold.

Once you have removed the factory hose and understand the concept and steps you just performed to do this installing the hoses will be an absolute breeze. I personally installed the UPR Dual Valve System in less than 15 minutes with no tricks or pre-loosened or slick steps to make it look easy.

Our system is a much more involved and complex design. I have a video that I did just to help as much as possible. Right at the end it explains the trick to removing the Dirty side line from the oil pan.

Hope this helps you guys out.

Well I spent about 3 hours shoveling snow yesterday and while that wasn't enough to get my car to the garage yesterday, it did make it possible to get in it today as the weather has warmed up a good bit. The underlying hard pack ice had loosened up from the pavement enough that I was able to shovel it today.

What does this mean? It means I was able to install the catch can today.

Once I removed the stock vent tube it was really quite easy to finish the job. For the guy who did it from the top do you have the PP or like really, really small hands and wrists? I couldn't get anywhere near the connection at the PCV valve from the top. The K brace (PP only) being in the way was the deal breaker for me.

It took somewhere around 40 minutes but there is no doubt I spent at least 10 minutes looking at other things while I was under the car. So 30 minutes is entirely doable if you can stay focused. I could not.

The appearance of the stock vent tube was really clean inside but I could tell there was a trace oil residue in it.

As far as the kit itself? Everything fit exactly as it should and I appreciated that Mishimoto had taken the time to clock the fittings on the hoses properly so there wasn't any fooling around making it fit correctly.

It is clear that removing the bowl isn't going to be pleasant when it's time to check/drain it but there's a 1/4 NPT plug in the bottom so this will be addressed. I also have some other ideas regarding some things I'd do differently but will address those at a later date.

Thanks again Mishimoto for a great product.

I need one, I hear the oil after I turn the car off, never heard that before with any of my new cars. It's worrying for sure.
