Hello; First is i like the idea of a four-door Ford sedan. I hope there will be a manual trans option, and fingers crossed a naturally aspirated V8. If those two things happen the other setups will not matter much to me.
Next is I do not especially like the idea of the four door being called a Mustang. I also am not keen on using Mustang visual cues. Porsche went that way with some of their SUV's and they never appealed to me. Same thing back decades ago when Jaguar put a back seat in an E-Type.

The Mustang chassis is big enough for a four door. I think the platform is (or was) used for some other vehicle which is four door. Some of you know more about this as you corrected me in the past.

An ecoboost engine or a hybrid only powertrain will signal the new vehicle to be a Mustang in name only.

We will see.

I've wished Ford would bring back practical cars for some time. Glad to see they are working on it.

I think I’ve seen that either the Focus or Fiesta is coming back but over in Europe. Would be great if they resurrected one or both of those.

Never would I buy a 4-door Mustang…. And re-using the “Mach” nomenclature again is just pitiful….

That would be pretty impressive if they can sell a hybrid V8 4 door under 40k. Almost too good to be true which makes me think its not a V8. Sub 4s 0-60 though would mean its got some power for sure. Depending on how it looks, I'm not opposed but do wish they would just leave it Mach 4 and not add the mustang part... Should have done that with the Mach E.

The 4 banger would be under $40k. I think the MotorTrend article said the V8 would be around $60k

Everyone has different opinions, and that's good.
My personal opinion (I know.... you didn't ask) is that some vehicles should NEVER be 4-door variants.
Two in particular would be the Mustang and the Bronco.
The first 7 generations of Mustangs have all been 2-door.
They actually toyed with a two door back in 1963... thank GOD they didn't build it:

The Bronco debate over the proper number of doors rages on at Bronco6G.com. There is plenty of debate and bantering over the number of doors.... very opinionated and an interesting read if interested. The first 5 generations of Broncos have all been two-doors.

I favor the classic 2-door defense for obvious reasons:

A lot of the purist Ranger folks say this is not acceptable.... it's a 4-door... and I understand their argument.
But I love my lil Raptor.

If a 4-door mustang comes out and folks love it... good on you... I get it.

Bronco absolutely should always be a 2 door. We went off roading at a park in my buddies, and my goodness the 2 door is so insanely capable, it blew my mind.

The Mustang should be 2 as well. But if I gotta deal with calling a 4 door Ford car a Mustang just to start seeing good looking sedans again, so be it!

Ford should definitely bring back a 4 door sedan. I miss the Crown Vic. Call it a Mustang or a Crown Vicstang lol. I’d consider it.

As long as there is a 2 door still available I don't think it's a problem. Some of the most iconic coupes have had sedan versions: the BMW 3 series (before they spun it off in the 4), the Skyline GTR had lesser Skyline sedans.

Even American Muscle. Obviously the Mustang and Camaro have always been 2 doors but the Torino and Chevelle for example came in coupe, sedan and even wagon.
