CMC meet at Mission BBQ in Downers Grove? I usually go to that one but was out of town this past weekend. Always a good turnout at that one

Purchased and installed the Diode Dynamics Engine Bay LED Light Kit. The installation instructions were non-existent; had to call the company to get the correct sequence for installing the provided rocker switch. All in all I am happy with the results. You can control the lighing from a smart phone app. WIll be testing out at my next car show.

Attended the Elkhart Lake Car Show which is held during the Brian Redman Weathertech Vintage Race Weekend. Tested out the new engine bay lighting and it worked great. Several compliments on it, along with the paint color, engine, etc etc.

Yep, I knew the outcome beforehand lol. Both stock, he had Tremec as well. Dragy has me trapping 120 flat best and I know he was 125-126 easy but I waited to see him hit it before I went full in 3rd. That 668hp erases gaps quickly for sure.

The torque of the LT4 just yanks the Blackwing forward at any rpm. Totally different sensation to the Voodoo and, on the streets, the Cadillac is loads faster once the tires can hook up (with TC off, you can easily light the tires up in 3rd at 80+).
But the 350 is so much more exciting to drive and still more than fast enough!

That’s our son’s ZL1 actually, my other car is CT5V BW adjacent, but I may “need” to LSA it. Or get a BW lol.

Great cars! Having had a very memorable test drive in a new 2016 SS 6sp when it was new, I will tell you that the 5BW is on another level in every regard.

Great cars! Having had a very memorable test drive in a new 2016 SS 6sp when it was new, I will tell you that the 5BW is on another level in every regard.

It is for sure, agreed 110%. My problem is trying to stay at $100K threshold for 2 cars lol. So, that puts me in a CT4V BW and even though the Alpha is a fantastic chassis, the Zeta II chassis SS with the LS3 just has that something the 4 BW LF4 engine doesn’t. Plus, the interior space isn’t even close.

I hear ya - the 5BWs ain't cheap for sure. I also owned a 2026 4BW 6sp for about 6 months and really enjoyed it. In some ways, it's better to drive than the 5. But the interior space is too compromised for my needs and it's just not as exciting to drive as the 5. I got an allocation for a 2026 5BW Precision so I recently sold the 4BW.

The Chevy SS was such a neat car and let's hope the rumors of the new Camaro 4 door sharing the platform with the all-new Blackwing in 2028 is true.
