Hellion for the win! Wait you asked for superchargers then I’m a VMP gen3 especially with a 10spd mostly because I already have the TT Hellion making 900+ wheel.
Plus side of the centrifugal supercharger is they act a little more like turbos and the normal stock drivability is mostly unchanged.

I went with a Super Snake Whipple from Shelby American, it is better than a Stage 2 from other Whipple sellers. 132mm intake, better injectors, high pressure fuel pump and it works great on my '19 GT/CS
They have a Ebay store or you can go straight to website of Shelby American. I live in Vegas so I saved on shipping and picked up the two large boxes the whole kit comes in.

Don’t know much about racing but, let’s say on a roll race , same car ,same everything 10 speed, Ess vs a whipple car , both on pump gas , who’s winning ? Ess car right ?

Probably not, the whipple makes a good bit more torque.

running about same HP is say the centrifugal. The whipple will def pull more lower rpm. But the centrifugal tends to pull more up top. I’ve run my ESS on track. Was great and controllable into and out of turns and then just eats on the straights

Big ProCharger fan here, but I honestly don’t think it matters unless you are chasing a number; be it a dyno number, a drag strip number, or a bail bondsman phone number.

…they will all get you in trouble equally, pick your poison and rock on 🤘

I’m not sure if your question is answered but, the results speak for themselves no matter what you choose boost is always the answer (aka Richard Holdener). You have to define what you use your car for. My choice was twin turbos back in 2017 as I road race my car and at that time heat soak was an issue. This is resolved now and whipples do well on the road course these days.
roll racing edge probably goes to the ess/centrifugal group over the whipple and the turbo guys , well we just hit the scramble button if we need to gap you.

The new whipples pull as hard up top as an ess from all the vids I've seen. They're extremely efficient and the days of them heatsoaking are all gone. I'd still do ess though for several other reasons.

I have owned a Whipple F150. It was quick in a 5600lb land whale. It would be very fast in a 3800lb Mustang.

I think of going Ess simply cause of the jet noise it makes. Its neck breaking.

Wondering what’s popular right now for superchargers of mustangs.
Replying to your title...

ESS centrifugal - I prefer to use the S550 for hillclimbs, canyons, mountains and the like. Centrifugals work great for that. More power than I will ever utilize fulltime, very manageable, reliable and easy to transition the car into play mode and subtle common traffic mode.

Nothing crazy, but you might enjoy the sounds.
