I’ve got a 16’ gt motor swapped into a 69’ f100. Bigger throttle body, 3.5” pulley, 1300 inj, plugs, long tubes w/ 3” full exhaust, I made 735 to the wheels on e85. And 670 on 93 pump gas. Those numbers seem lite to me but this is my first gen 2 motor. Everyone’s thoughts? I’m running twin 450lph aeromotive pumps on a return style system. Same 6r80 the motor came with from the Mustang. Shoemaker tuned. I’ve got the opg’s done, all timing parts upgraded with the ford performance kit, and mpf crank support. The truck is light so it runs good w/ 3.33 gears in my 9”. Just thought the numbers should have been more. Also when we dyno’d my intercooler cores were leaking coolant into the motor under the whipple lid so I’m assuming that hurt me some as well.

That 9" is sucking up some power for sure. Those numbers seem fine, how much boost?

Yep, need boost number to correlate…but I’m laughing because the most that poor truck ever saw was about 190hp in its prime 😂

lol yea it’s fun to drive, 4 link, 35 spline axles and some other goodies , I guess I can email the tuner and see what the datalog shows for boost. This motor is out of a wrecked mustang so I don’t know much about how it was treated. The heads looked really clean like the oil changes were on time.

My gen2 car with a gen5 whipple made 756/596 on a 3.5” pulley on e85 through a Magnum XL trans.

Do you know how much timing you were seeing? I would bet that 6r80 and 9” is soaking up some of the power there.

How do you know it's low when you don't even know how much boost the engine was seeing? Shoemaker is a good tuner. 3.5 pulley was around 11psi on my truck that had that same blower.....but even that does not mean that''s what you are seeing. Setup, elevation, ambient tempts etc matter.

You’re right, I guess in my mind it would make more, I had a gen 3 s550 with a whipple and 3.35 pulley and it made closer to 900. I know that motor had more compression and obviously a bigger pulley. Really just wanted to see what everyone else was making with a gen 2 motor. I’ve had shoemaker tune both of my setups and I’ve been nothing but happy, it wasn’t a dig at him, I was more worried about my junk yard motor not the tuner.
