Evs and Hybrids scare me. I don't like all the battery's strapped under my ass. Mustangs get crashed all the time without the fire hazard. This one was all over the news when our governor helped with the rescue. It caught fire again a week later in our yard. Bobs burger voice actors car.

A reboot of the Pacer X would out sell a Camaro at this point.

Explosive liquid? Lol .you obviously don't know how gasoline works. LI batteries are difficult to put out . Like magnesium. It takes thousands of gallons of water. I just repeating what the fire chief told me. They hate them. They rather deal with a fuel fire. I never saw a ice vehicle reignite after a week of sitting. It's happens all the time with battery vehicles. Up to 3 weeks.

Any notion that a tank of gas is in any way less dangerous than a charged lithium battery is nothing short of willful naïveté.

that gas will melt your skin off in an instant if it touches you while burning, you are absolutely not safer in a fire situation in a gasoline car.

I don’t even know how you can say this response with a straight face, burning gasoline will kill you just as easily as burning lithium, who cares about how long it takes to put out if you’re dead? What is this response?

Im not saying gasoline wont burn you but a battery burning is worse.I was saying explosive liquid is not quite what it Is . it's the vapors that burn. It sounded like a headline statement. "Vehicle with explosive liquid" blows up. Not car with gas blows up. I think flammable liquid would be closer terminology. When a ev battery module catches fire it goes for ever. The firemen have remove the heat not the oxygen. With a gasoline fire they foam it and remove oxygen the fire goes out. Then they cool it down and clean it up. The battery catches fire it goes in to thermal run away. All they can do is contain it and most times they just let it burn but this one was at a toll booth so it had to go. The fire department came to the shop and baby sat the thing for 8 hrs. It eventually reignited a week later and then was hosed and baby sat for another 8 hrs. What did that cost? When a gas or diesel vehicle burns we pick it up and never see the for dept again. What about all the ground water that could be contaminated. Look it up i did. .I'm not trying to piss anyone off. I love driving my daughters model 3 performance. Thing is a hoot.

If it’s coming out as a 28, it’s pretty far along already. Maybe he did his part and told them it’s in their hands now.
Al moved from the Camaro team to lead development of Hummer EV, Silverado EV, Sierra EV, Escalade iQ, and Vistiq. Tony Roma has been the head of GM Performance cars since then.

He went 42 years! You say that like its a long time.
I did 44 years and 4 more part time,and would love to go back. Surely he could do a few more decades;-)

no. It’s a sign that a longtime hardworking chief engineer is ready to enjoy the much deserved fruit of his labors. He’s already contributed to the next Camaro and now the Gen Zers can worry about paint options, seat colors, and name badges.

Competition is always good for improving performance and keeping everyone on their toes.
Wonder if the 7th Gen Camaro will at some point bring back a Z28 track variant?
If so, hopefully that will motivate Ford to resurrect the BOSS nameplate.
