trying to keep the shit slinging going

What a disgrace! I'd be impressed if it was half the price. I bet they cheated and used slicks too! Come on Multimatic, my grandmother could do better.

If I had the appropriate sized wallet, I’m taking a 2017-2022 Ford GT or the MkIV GT over just about anything out there. That car is so frickin cool

I'd like a 2005 Ford GT over any other Ford/Multimatic.

More like the original, no nannies, supercharged V8 and manual. Personally find the '05 to be gorgeous! I also don't like the newer one at all from the looks, to the ecoboost power plant. Not concerned about track times as I'm interested in more of a street car not a garage queen investment or track toy. To each their own though!

Ben Sloss has a first gen, second gen, MK2 and MK4 all in the same livery.
He's also the guy that set the lap record at COTA for a GT-style car in a MK4.

Meh. Had to come back after my initial enthusiasm spike. After honking about it, this isn’t impressive at all. The GT mark 4 isn’t a street legal car. Even the AMG ONE is street legal. What’s next, Ford is going to break out a top fuel dragster Mustang and brag about its 0-60?

Thought this was a new Ord GT. ITS THEIR DEDICATED track-only car. Not legal for the street. The cool thing about the real cars is that you could buy one have it in your garage, impress your date, drive it to church, and then go tear up the track in record time.

rhis is just dumb. The ā€œrecordā€ needs to be a separate category for real cars vs pro racing-only cars.

remember, the Gtd was supposed to be a big deal because ā€œSTREET LEGAL race car.ā€

The Ford GT Mk IV is in the SAME category lapping the Nürburgring Nordschleife as the Corvette ZR1X and Corvette ZR1... in the prototype/pre-production class. Comparing different ring times in different classes is definitely comparing apples to grapefruits.

And the Ford GT Mk IV is officially the fastest pure ICE vehicle around the Ring. The two others in front of it are either hybrid or pure EV.

So the question becomes for the pure ICE enthusiasts, which is considered better... EV, Hybrid, or internal combustion engine with no electric help? šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

That's not the point. It will never be street legal, unlike the ZR1/X.

The big deal about the GTD was its street legal status.

It's apples and oranges.

On a sperate note, nice dogs. They look like mine. Only mine are a mix of gray colors.
