I always run 98 in my 2017 S550 V8 Red Mustang.

1 March I was paying $1.68 per litre or $6.36 AUD per gallon ($4.47 USD)
22 March I am paying $2.70 per litre or $10.22 AUD per gallon ($7.18 USD)

So a 61 percent increase.

Diesel went from $1.85 AUD per litre or $7 AUD per gallon ($4.92 USD) now $3.10 AUD per litre or $11.73 AUD per gallon ($8.24 USD) or 68% higher

The thing that irritated me the most was the local news saying it takes 30 days for oil to be processed and moved, etc. changing from crude oil to gas at my local pump, but at the first rumor of something going on, the local gas stations immediately raised their prices. The US is a net exporter of crude, but they still raise the price locally due to something happening in Iran. The price is only very loosely coupled to oil production - they want to charge as much as possible and they will use any excuse to increase prices.

Whatever, driving is too much fun to avoid it due to fuel prices increasing. It was nice to have the last year of lower prices, and I'm sure they will come back down before long.

So did a filling in Annapolis today at Exxon and it was $5.45 for 93 octane gas. If I do some backroad fun this weekend and fill up again, say at 5.50, and get 13 gallons that’s 71 dollars. Well I suppose that’s still cheaper than and hooker and some blow to have fun, just have to be sure no tickets.

Hookers, blow and 93 octane. Sounds like my kind of party.
