What are you using for non-track/street brake pads?

Curious what everyone is using and how much you liked/dis-liked them.

I'd ideally like to find something that works as well/better than stock pads and dusts less.

I have used Duralast Ceramic Pads on my ’09 GT500KR to all but eliminate dust. Can’t use them on track, but they are fine for daily use.
Must admit, I haven’t tried to find ceramic pads for my GT350. I use the stock pads for everything. They work great on track.

From everything I’ve read on this forum, there is no such animal. You will give up some performance, how much depends on who you ask.
For me at this juncture, I’m just going to live with the dust.
One of these days, someone will actually do a head to head comparison...same car, same driver with different pads.

My go-to for any vehicle when replacing is the Hawk Street pads.

I don't have any practical experience as of yet, but once my OEMs are consumed, I plan to switch to GLOC GS-1 for street duty and a more aggressive GLOC product for my very limited tracking (novice). Maybe an R12/R10 combo.

I think some folks here have used the GS-1s and experienced much reduced dust, though they will still create some dust.

Seems like not much has changed since my last car... Z26 (which are less powerful in high temp) for low dust, or Hawk HP Plus/HPS (which are as/more powerful) but higher dust.

I ran Raybestos ST 45 and 43 before for track pads, will probably stick with those.
I think the cost and low dust of the Z26 are is great and they're low risk since I'm not tracking on them. Probably will go with those.

I've run Powerstop Z26 pads in three vehicles. 2016 HC A8. 2015 Z51. My 2018 R. Your wheels will dust considerably less. I mean like 85-90% less. Performance wise, they still stop really well but will not have that initial Brembo bite. There's an initial bite but it isn't as jerk hard. Perfect for street use. If you're not a track rat, free your dusty soul and put them in.

This is my experience with them on my '17 SS 1LE. Great street pad with so much less dust. They do ok in back road bombing too, but definitely need to be swapped out for something more aggressive when it time to get the car on the race track.

Z26 are popular street pads that wont break the bank. They are ceramic pads and therefore 100% street use only. Ceramic=low dust.

GLOC GS1s are also 100% street use only —likely ceramic based as well. Ceramic=low dust. Difference here are these pads are compound compatible with their track pads.. just switch back and forth before and after the track on the same set of rotors.

I went the GS1 route myself to leave my options open but I'm sure I'd be fine with the cheaper Z26s.

This is the exact combination I’ve been using and I’ve been very happy. The GS-1’s are VERY low dust, and are just as good on the street as the stock pads. On track, the R12/R10 combo is great. I got 6 track days out of my fronts, 8 so far on my rears and they’ll last another 4 or so days if I had to guess.

On my Z06 and mini I use carbotech’s for street and track pads and I’ve been extremely happy with the results. For the 350 I decided to give GLOC a try after all the positive reviews on the forum.... and they’re cheaper than carbotech so I figure it was worth a try.

Lots of great brands out there. I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the brands others have mentioned.

Fun fact, GLOC was started from former Carbotech employees :)

I don't change pads between track & street. Raybestos ST45 front, ST43 rear. They're dusty and can be noisy - I don't care.
