I’ve kind of had it with this website. Why are these people allowed on this website? Either have something constructive to say or get out.

Is that the one you bought then returned due to some issues?

Wasn't trying to spread a bunch of negativity to the car or Carvana, I did want the potential new owner to know what i know as it did sit in my driveway for a week.

That’s Carvana….its the new CarMax dumping ground so buyer beware. Don’t buy it unless you see it in person. They both have some nice cars but lots of turds as well.

I can’t speak for others, but I didn’t interpret it as you trying to denigrate the car or Carvana. Any info you can provide here would be helpful to any potential buyer. They may still buy the car, but at least they would know what they’re dealing with.

Chassis number G1709

Ok, 1st let me say im not an expert mechanic, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

Cosmetically, the hood was repainted, there are hard tape lines on the hood where the hood vent is at, to the point I may think there was still tape on it and I did not want to pull it up in fear of doing more damage.

Front splitter, while coming off the flat bed there were 4 bolts sticking up off the flatbed. While coming down off the flatbed, that lip experienced all of the bolts and left 2 gouges on each side of the splitter. This reason alone is why I chose to pick up the 2nd car.

Window tint, not a big deal for me, as I tint my cars illegal anyways, was definitely illegal for the state of VA. Including the strip on the windshield. Again, that was not a big deal for me, but might be for others depending on state laws.

Tires were in excellent shape, venture to say brand new.

Wheels had some missing paint along the lip of the wheels.

There were some other cosmetic issues with the paint, not pointed out in photos. But it is a 10 year old vehicle.

Mechanical, which is the big thing for me.

Brakes squeek. I would have changed them out regardless for a low dust option.

Engine definitely made alot of noise. I could not tell what it was, but sounded like it was coming from the bottom end. The car came empty on gas. I filled it with 93 wondering if maybe it had some bad gas in it, and maybe it did, I just didn't drive it long enough to run it thru as I was afraid it may blow up. The 1st day I got it I did put about 60 miles on it, I know the deal about letting it warm up and not beating on it until it warms up. The engine noise got louder the longer I got into my drive. Which is why it sat for the week until the new 350 showed up.

Again, not an expert here. I have done my fair share of mechanical work on cars. Even worked on some planes and helicopters, so I have had tools in my hands for most of my life. This particular example tho scarred me and I didn't want to by a 46k headache. Hopefully the new owner is way smarter then me and can point out thay I am way wrong.

You could've just started with that last reply :)
Like i said I didn't want to spread negativity and was hoping the new potential buyer would reach out. I have been recieveing a bunch of questions about it, none of which from the potential buyer, so I put it out there.

You didn't attack the car or the future buyer, just spoke your experience, which I'd say most of us other enthusiasts think is a wonderful thing for the community. :)

New owner could just be like, hrm, I'll fix it all, not a problem to me, I like it enough and be happy with it too.

I tried not to attack it but the internet tends to do what it wants and some may not see it that way. Hopefully the new owner for sure keeps it going, we need to keep all these machines on the road!!
