Finished installing my front strut tower bar kit today. The switch from plastic brace (dunno if you can really call this thing a brace as it's more like a cowl spacer) was simple, and due to other threads and feedback from other V6 owners, I am currently using 1cm spacers (Stainless 304).

I went with Moog and mine are even on both sides. The Moog part is definitely better than stock. Much more strength in thickness and design, and can be regreased if necessary. Adjustible sounds nice to have, but for my use case I didn't think the Track Handling Pack needed it.
I bought the exact thing from Harbor Freight, as well as the socket. Trust me, it sucks. lol
I ended up buying the second kit that I linked above after that whole fiasco and headache, and it was beyond easy to remove the opposite side and install the new.
After buying the recommended tools from the FP manual... AND FAILING, this is the recommended tool for the least amount of effort and it gets the job done so, so easily: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CPYD234W
Love the car and how it turned out!
I've been trying to get that darker chrome from the GT350 all over my interior and "dechrome" it as best as I can. I'm pretty sure if I put pictures of it up, people would be so triggered... One of my favorite cosmetic mods (I have very few since I'm trying...
Found my issue! Due to FP Track Handling Pack inventory and drop ship issues, I pieced together a set on my own. The official complete set has pre-assembled front strut and shocks. I assembled my own from the smaller kits, and needed a better torque wrench that did both directions. Along with a...
I was gonna check this again, good call. I replaced my stock Ford ones with Moog ones, which are much beefier. Might have forgotten to torque a tad more as I've also been working on so many things in parallel.
Upgraded from stock V6 lower control arms to the Ford Performance LCAs (I believe are the same as Performance Pack). Along with the Track Handling Pack, finished everything and was doing a few drives around and letting everything settle. One concern I have is around some clunking noises coming...
lol believe me, I get weird comments from people because I intentionally drive a V6 S550. Like how does what I eat make you sh*t but I always get someone who has some hate 😂
I just don't wanna pay high VA property tax on my hobby car!
You didn't attack the car or the future buyer, just spoke your experience, which I'd say most of us other enthusiasts think is a wonderful thing for the community. :)
New owner could just be like, hrm, I'll fix it all, not a problem to me, I like it enough and be happy with it too.
