Ignoring the brand-sell, there are some valuable tire cleaning insights in this video. Some of this I knew, some of it provided clarification, some of it new to me. The takeaway for me was that tire browning is not removing active UV inhibitors within the rubber, but rather the removal of "dead" or spent UV inhibitors. Those UV agents are designed to rise from within the tire to protect the outermost layer of rubber. As the UV agent reacts with sunlight, it ages and turns brown as its expelled, drawing more up with it. So, continually removing the browning doesn't harm the rubber.

For the Lexus I used Sonax perfect finish with a yellow pad. Car only has 6K and the paint was in great condition. ADS ceramic coating and Trim+.

Used ADS Ghost on both cars.
The cars look spectacular, Alberto..mighty fine job although a heckuva lot of work. Big fan of Perfect Finish here and I've fallen in love with Amplify, Ghost, their Ceramic Pro, and not least of all, the Ceramic Trim.

It took him a while to figure that one out, as in being in control of products and brands that he has helped make notable. There are many instances where his notoriety took blew up a product or tool, only for other retailers to take the lions share.

So, Pressol and Bilt Hamber, his own DI system, OG specific pressure washer parts, the OG-only Kranzle..............................all under his control now. The Pressol Pro-Series I think he has full exclusivity on, so if they end up in Australia, it will be through him.

Bugger, sorry to read that, but they will have you sorted.
Sounds like you almost feel bad for the guy? When starting his Pressol campaign I never agreed with him expecting everyone else to take the loss on broken sprayers and refusing to at least provide plastic replacement tips while saying “we are all in this together”. Then he would tell us about the new Porsche or Rolex he just purchased. The channel has really changed and has been a hard watch with him being so hypocritical at times.
I've always been of the opinion that dreams are free. Well, money no object, I could get behind a "master collection" like this..........................

The Yum Cars guy is so shady. He was wholesaling products to Clean Garage through back door means, in turn violating distribution rights. When he got shut down, he then played the victim, along the lines of "he doesn't like me for some reason......."..................geez, I wonder why? I've watched him slag off the guy that he learnt all about what he was talking about from, even using the same mannerisms to do so. Couldn't get any faker if he tried. So, if you can't stand the sound of Matt's voice, this jerk on another level.

Anyway, who would have thought there would be so much drama selling bottles of soap and plastic bottles.
[/QUOTE

I must have missed what happened but why is him selling to clean garage shady? From his videos it sounded like he was confused why Matt was talking bad about him. Thought it was hypocritical of Matt to get upset about that when he’s guilty of copying others himself?

Because Mr. Yum was selling Pressol to Clean Garage in the USA, but OG had (have) the distribution rights to the brand in the US. Pretty clear cut.

We've had this conversation many times before, both on this forum and elsewhere under different user names. It never goes anywhere and unless you have something meaningful to add, I suggest not posting.

Not car focused but certainly detail related, today I used an excellent product that is well worth highlighting. In this case, I'm trying to revive the appearance of some plastic small engine parts.

First of all, I cleaned them in my parts washer, which is filled with diluted Bilt Hamber Surfex HD.

The sane person would then simply fit those parts to an engine and call it done. But I wanted see how Solution Finish would work in this application. This is a dye used to restore black textured plastic on cars, think bumper inserts, engine covers, side skirts, window trims, and side protection mouldings, even interior plastic. These engine parts are made from a similar material, so I don't see why it wouldn't work here as well.

While trim/plastic/rubber "dressings" will simply wash off, Solution Finish is considered "semi-permanent" as it will penetrate plastic. To apply, you need to make sure the surface is clean, which is what the Surfex did, then follow with an IPA wipe down, of which I used up some Bowden's Flash Prep (which I don't recommend). Apply a small amount of Solution Finish to a sponge and work it in, a little goes a long way. Leave it for a few minutes to absorb before leveling with a towel.

I'm actually quite surprised at how effective it was, you can still see the wear marks, but the finish is basically brand new.

I like Solution Finish, I have all but replaced it with ADS Trim+ though. Still black dye, but ceramic infused. :) Now you need to clean the whole engine cover and treat it to match :)

Same here, Alex..LOVE ADS Trim which makes four ADS products that have won me over..Amplify, Ghost, and their Ceramic Pro coating being the other three. Spectacular products! Now what do I do with a gallons of Reload and OG Tire Dressing? <chuckling>

I haven't found a bad product yet. Panel prep, their soaps are great (not reset great but still good). Glass coating and the wheel coating are both stellar too. And don't get me started on Pilot (interior) it is a great clean and protect without leaving any greasy residue.

You're conflating business expense with personal expense. Matt owning a Porsche or Rolex has nothing to do with the business. He is on the payroll for the business as the CEO, the money OG makes isn't flowing directly to him. This is actually prudent business practice as it protects him from liability if the company fails. In fact, many of the vehicles he showcases are company assets, not his personal vehicles.

Secondly, he was ALWAYS upfront and transparent about the Pressol project and implicitly warned buyers that they were all beta testers, and if they weren't comfortable with the process, then they shouldn't buy the sprayers.

So I'm failing to see where your rub lies here...is it because he's made himself successful by dedicating himself to his company and taking risks? I'm also failing to see any hypocrisy so a little more clarity on your points would be helpful.

A pedantic screen name, zero initiated post count and a history of attacking OG? Yeah, let's add him to the ignore list.

Your timing is impeccable. Just the prompt I needed to try SF on the C63 trim. :like:

I haven't used Trim+, mainly because its $120 in Australia, and partly because I like how forgiving Solution Finish is. Apart from wheels, I've sort of gone off ceramic coatings.
