Does the C8 5.5L have CNC ported heads, custom N/A camshafts and raised compression as well?

If not, then I think the comparison cannot really be a comparison. It would have to be stock vs. stock. Just my opinion.

Yeah, OEM's are constrained by reliability and longevity in a wide range of operating conditions while making emissions. This isn't a fair comparison.

I've thought about ordering up a base hybrid Maverick for a runner and park my F150 for the most part many times....

I bought a Maverick Lariat for a winter beater / shop truck. Was not expecting much, but I love it! It's pretty fun to drive, comfortable enough, and I've had plenty of weight in that little bed! Just about 26.5 MPG and cheap on insurance too! For just over $32k OTD.

Nothing. Don’t see ford with a mid-engine hybrid at this point. Would be cool if they announced a new concept to preproduction platform with mid engine aspirations.

It's a completely different car in a completely different class. Comparing a Corvette, even the base model, or a mustang is apples and oranges.

Exactly! Which if what Ford is saying is accurate, big probability this wont be a Mustang variant, considering how even the current GTD compares against the ZR1.

I would buy it if Ford made the GT40 along the lines of the C8 Vette. MSRP starting at $70k. GM proved it sure as hell can be done. GT40 Jr would sell like hotcakes, IMO.
