If anything, leave the red tape as masking, and paint the unstickered parts of the wheels black. Peel the stickers off after painting and the bare aluminum finish will be a nice contrast to the rest of the black, painted portions of the wheel. It would be a unique and tasteful mod.

I did not put the red on back. The red on the wheels was strangely attractive. At first glance, it was like no. But then, eh, maybe, yeah, it might work. I originally thought the accents went between the spokes, not on the face. I completely misinterpreted Anchor Rooms image. I think it might have worked better if the red was in between, and not so in your face.
