I’m a fan of the color

That's the second guy I've seen that thinks it's a good idea to stand
on the front splitter.
It looks like Lead Foot Gray with a black painted roof, I agree with Vaughn
on that point completely.

I like to disassemble things.
In that video you posted earlier, that guy said that the Ferrari Purosangue and F80 run the multimatic setup above the GTD. Who is that guy btw? He seems connected with Ford.
If you are referring to Dave, indeed, he knows a few people at Ford and Multimatic.

More power dammit!

So I put up the two videos, ZR1 vs GTD, and started them together matching the clocks on each fairly closely. It was clear very quickly - the GTD was never ahead. The ZR1 stayed a couple of seconds ahead for quite a while, and just short of the carousel Dirk gained much of that back but before long the Corvette was pulling away again.

I added in the mph text on the GTD side to keep both units of measure the same.

Just prior to the carousel with Dirk gaining...

Cliffs - ZR1 pulls away almost instantly, GTD maintains distance between the two, but once they hit the straight there was no catching up.

If Farley is serious with what he said about "game on", Ford is going to (at the very least) have to do a second year power bump. Given recent EPA legislation, etc, the carpet has been rolled out for them do it. It's just a matter of Ford doing something they normally would never do. If GM chooses to go back with legit, professional drivers, the gap is only going to widen.
The bigger problem for Ford is the price difference.
Even if they match the vette the MSRP for the Ford is going to have many asking WHY. it isn't like the Ford badge has the pash of a lambo or Ferrari, or a Buggatti/etc. to warrent the200k+ over the vette.
That is Fords real issue.

Please, go away already. Ford has had no problem selling GTD‘s just like they had no problem sell GT’s back in the day. And Chevrolet will not have any problem selling ZR1’s. American muscle sells.

TT setup instead of a S/C would be my vote.
Willing to bet a very healthy amount of money that isn’t happening (at least on this generation GTD). That would be a massive redoing of too many systems for a mid model update. That supercharger is capable of more power anyway, so I suspect they’ll turn that up a bit.

No it’s not likely to happen but they can save some weight and still make big power. Just another route they can go if they’re chasing Ring times. They did it with the latest generation GT (TT 3.5L), so the blueprint is there.

But it’s more likely they just turn up the power on the existing architecture and make a few other tweaks on a limited run vehicle.

They sold before the times came out. Not that it matters , the mothballed warehouse won't care.
Why should I go away, because my opinion doesn't mirror yours?
The Ford GT ford pre sold them before anyone got to drive them and had owners sign doc's that they not reselling for x months. There was a reason of that and it wasn't Ford worrying about the owner making a profit reselling it. as they allow dealers to rape buyers.
Some are Fan bois that Ford can do no wrong. Sorry I'm not one of them.
I'll hsve a GTD vehicle title in my name, will you?

You realize they’re ALL sold, right.. And there were literally thousands vying for slots to get one.

You’re calling people fan bois and that has zero to do with it. You’re literally contradicting your own posts. As for the other, what’s your engagement date?

Max in the GTD was super cool. Bet all Ford needs to get the crown back is to let him drive a couple laps.

The thing we should all give props to GM for is their pricing.

Mustang was the king of performance per dollar. Since the CamBirds went away, I guess they still are, but the 7G cars are pretty pricy, and Fords halo cars (GT, GTD) are super expensive.

It is a shame Ford doesn't decide to make a real Corvette competitor in both performance and price.

Ford decided that it didn’t want to play in the Corvettes space decades ago. I do not foresee that changing, ever. We have an awesome 2 door, 2+2 coupe with rear wheel drive and a killer V8. That’s enough for me.
