, I ran mine fully drained, oil plug off for hours because I forgot I hadn't finished the oil change
So just to be clear, you ran the engine with no oil in it, but people should take your advice on engine oil and maintenance?

The manual for my 2020 Bullitt says 10w20. However, when the Mach came out with the same engine as the Bullitt, it said 10w30. After a long discussion with the maintenance supervisor at my dealership he agreed that using 10w30 would not void any warranty issues, I switched to 10w30.

Mobil 1, 5W-30 with one bottle Ceratec. May be switching to Penzoil Ultra next time after reading all the positives lately.

My oil cap and manual says 5w20. The manual does say to use 30 for "track use".

What's different from '20 to '22 I wonder?
Amsoil Signoture 5w30.

Running an engine with no oil ain't a big deal. That in no way shape or form makes advice bad. People fuck up. I guarantee for a fact that you have done stupider things. Should we disregard any and all driving advice because someone's wrecked their car once or because they speed because speeders are criminals and their opinions are worthless? No.? Exactly. Your logic doesn't work out there. Should we take anything you say serious after you name yourself Sheep, after all you are a sheep who probably fanboys certain brands when they are trash. Mr Isheep
Yeah, your right. I'm a troll in here just like you. No real knowledge or experience, just puking out bad info hoping that someone mops it up in desperation.

Thank you for all of your contributions to this community, I'm sure your car is B-A-N-A-N-A-S

Are you like 12? Do you even own a mustang. I contribute alot to the community. So far your post history is only trolling and being disrespect and assholish to anyone who offers people real advice. I am not a troll, YOU ARE. we are not the same. Everything I say can be backed by facts and proven. Everything you say can be proven FALSE. Take a chill pill and go take your midday nap lmfao. Keyboard warriors who ain't even old enough to drink fr. Sad state of affairs on the forums.

My issue was, when I sent Motorcraft full synthetic off for analysis, it had not maintained viscosity at all for a 5,000 mile drain interval. Might be OK for shorter drain intervals, but 5,000 miles isn't asking that much out of a full synthetic.
Fair enough, although use case will play a part as well. Normal street driving will be different than track, etc.

FWIW, I change mine every 3-5k, Motorcraft 5w-30 full synthetic. I have no interest in going beyond 5k even if an oil is capable of maintaining good viscosity for longer. Normal street driving, no track so it’s fine for my use. Others may think differently. Was just curious about your experience that led to your conclusion. Thanks

He is a self admitted troll who is only here to provide false info, I don't waste my time with children like that. Off to the blocklist his ass goes.

Well I already bought the oil because the responses were a little slow.

Errored on the side of caution and got 5w20.

I'll get 5w30 next time.
I run 5-30.

If you don't flog it/track it a lot, or get caught in a lot of large summertime traffic jambs where your car will be running very hot while rolling along at slow speeds (poor cooling), then 5-20 will be fine.
If you lived in a hotter environment and flogged the car very regularly, then the 30 would have greater benefit.

I run 5w30 PUP during the winter as a daily driver, and then switch over to 0w40 PUP in the summer as I do some more spirited driving and an occasional track day.

2020 GT.
