Hoping that they would just go and shave off 10-15 seconds due to a bit better weather conditions was a wishful thinking. 5 seconds is already huge, but getting it into 6:45 range would take a lot more that just another try.

Very interested to see ZR1 results next.

Just my opinion, it's sort of apples and oranges. The C8 is an arrow, the GTD has a wall on the front of it.

The C8 is a great car. But IMO it lacks personality and charactor.

If you're talking about the "standard C8" than i'd agree but the ZO6 and ZR1 definitely have personality lol

A quick change of the subject would be "where did you get that dress, it makes you look fat"

The subject of discussion would no longer be wheels.

Always stay on the offensive.....
I'd be in fear of my tires being slashed in the garage! LOL

Not trying to compare them directly, after all the price delta and attainability are hugely different. Still want to see what's what between these two)))

I'd be surprised if the vette was faster, especially after seeing them both basically side by side.

I think there is no doubt which will be faster...and more attainable.

At a minimum, I bet it’s a lot closer than some may think (referring to those that think the ZR1 will clobber the GTD). The ZR1 is also a big car and I’m really curious how “track ready” it actually is

But a GTD is a poster car. I still want a GTD. I'd never put a poster of any of the current C8 models on my wall. And if my son does, I will rip it down.

But I do think the Z06 with the correct package (I forget what GM calls their packages these days) will probably be faster than the GTD.

For sure it won't be very far apart. In this segment of the leader board, finding every second is immensely hard task. Hope we see something soon.

I don't root for GM here, just enjoying the competitive aspect
