I know a lot of information has been kept close to the vest but does anybody know if anybody paid extra to hold a color as their very own that nobody else can get?

I figured it was. Supposedly there’s been a half dozenish released.
Ford does have cars running around, but not even the first 2 production cars have been delivered (Bill Ford gets #1).

I have read elsewhere that Grabber Blue was "unavailable", to the poster, maybe because of lock out. On the NGT the lock out was $30k, and someone even got to lock out Midnight Blue (the 05 GT color). Many were not happy about that.

Race Red GTD in the wild. Can’t tell if those are magnesium wheels (which are unobtanium) or if Ford is going forged aluminum in the same design? Tob @Epiphany any idea on the wheels?

I mean.... i don't know.... but I'll say it anyways - it looks blant in this color and photos. Especially rear end - like somebody squeezed it with a press and then slapped a stupid spoiler and exhaust tips. I hope it looks better in other colors and maybe in better pictures.

There’s several pictures out there in a few different colors. Grabber Blue picture is a rendering, not an actual car.

I saw the Spirit of America model at the Chicago Auto Show this past February. The car is so badass in person, definitely has a presence to it. Its huge too, much wider than pictures show.

I believe you will only see an aluminum version that also looks like the mag wheel we were shown. I was told they didn't even have a mag wheel available for the Ring run last year. Don't know about this time around though.

Would be interesting to see if they decide to throw in a carbon fiber wheel option. Might be a little too late in the game to add something like that though…

After kicking CR to the curb, I doubt they would go back 'a beggin to get production wheels up and running. Especially after some of the commentary like in the video Tob posted. It's clear Ford moved on from CF wheels.... and I suspect it came down to price point.

As for no magnesium wheels for '25? Wow, that speaks volumes.

Obviously was pre production, but the car shown at LeMans 2024 had Mag wheels (and IMHO terrible branding)
