Whoa, Jamie! Was the Raptor not enough for towing purposes? In any event, no problems now. :-)
Hi buddy. I did a lot of homework on how to make the Raptor tow well, and I was happy with it, for what I was doing at the time. It was a low frequency, low demand type thing to do with it.

Plans have changed, and I need a more capable tow vehicle. In 4.5 years (but who's counting), I am retiring from the fire service (thank Christ) and getting the hell out of this god forsaken state. I will be packing up the car, and as much as I can stuff into the trailer, my wife, two dogs, and as much as I can stuff in the Super Duty, and headed for somewhere in Texas. Once retired, I will want to tow all over the place and hit the events that I have always wanted to attend. For these reasons, and more, I made the switch.

Congrats Jaime, I know you liked your Raptors, but in my humble opinion, they were not designed as tow vehicles. Love the new truck.

I am old school and love my 2002 Excursion and 2001 F250, both 7.3"s for towing.
Thanks! As mentioned, I made it work, and it worked fine for the once a year I needed it. That said, I cannot argue with you, the Super Duty is made for this kind of thing.

Interesting wheels on that truck.
I actually like them. For the first time, I do not intend on changing them...... (for now).

Ford’s made some interesting choices with the changes on the 25’s. Those wheels aren’t to bad. They removed some previously standard equipment on the 450’s. The rapid red is a very nice color on these trucks.
I just spent the day on Saturday adding back in the wired key pad. It's stupid that they DC'd them, but where there's a will, there's a way. It cost me $95 and maybe 4 hours of my time. Luckily I have the KSA to do these things. Forscan experience helps too.

I also lucked out that they added the passenger side auto locking hub back in on the 25's. I can't believe they even tried taking away that option, it was a big reason that people went with Ford.

I am a fan of the wheels. For 2024, they were matte black, which is stupid on a truck that has gloss Agate Black accents. Luckily for me, the 2025 went gloss black, which is why I am keeping them.

2025 also switched from Rapid Red Metallic to Ruby Red Metallic, which is yet another personal preference of mine. My last red truck (2015 F150 Platinum) was Ruby Red, so it's nice to be back in Ruby, lol.

I do like Rapid Red and I would have been happy with that color too. To be honest, unless side by side, it's hard to tell the difference between the two of them.

I was wondering if moving had anything do with the purchase, Jaime and now I see that it does. That makes perfect sense and FWIW, my '18 SD is Ruby Red and we call her Ruby of course.

I did see that, however, I think I’m done buying Shelby American things…..
I totally get that. I would have considered it, except I got the regular "non Shelby" branded version direct from MMR a a few months ago. I think having the Shelby logo on a part you can't see unless you're up on the lift is a bit much.

Sadly, I am not joking. I’m considering taking all Shelby American items off the car.

I also am thinking about selling the car.

If it weren’t April 1st I’d probably believe this 🤣
You know what, I didn’t even consider it being April Fool’s Day.

That said, I am being serious. I am waiting to see how things work out with a current situation. I am completely deflated. Time will tell.

That sucks. Hopefully it’s not to do with the KR hood? I saw Tom had an issue with his SE hood.

Deleted my first post because I forgot about April fools. You’ve done more for them in the area of promotion then they have a clue. Truly hope it gets sorted correctly.

Thanks. I am aware of what happened with Tom, which was unfortunate, but is not exactly what's happening with me.

Thank you. I cannot argue with you, as far as what they may have seen in response to what I have done with my car. That said, I am not expecting any special treatment, I just expect to be treated fairly, as anyone would.

Thanks, I truly am hoping things will work out.

Gotta be an April Fools joke, Jaime. <smile>
I wish it was my friend.

I probably shouldn't have even mentioned anything to be honest. It's still unfolding, so I will just see how things go. Thanks for the kind words.
