I recently purchased a 2020 Shelby GT500 with only 139 miles from a dealer in Georgia. Since having the Shelby, I have had 2 check engine lights and 1 wrench light. I took the Shelby to the local dealer to determine, diagnose and fix the issues. The dealer informed me the codes were for misfires on cylinder 1 and could be related to full power runs. I have not pushed the Shelby to full power due to low miles on car. That dealer decided they did not want to pursue the problem any more due to lack of expertise and tools. They called another dealer and I took the Shelby to the new dealer for repair. The new dealer stated the misfires were diagnosed to cylinder 1 and could be due to bad gas. Their technician ran a litany of tests and determined the Shelby was in excellent shape with no issues. They did not replace any parts and said Shelby is ready for pickup. Any suggestions on causes and fixes.

Sounds like this Shelby needs to be picked up and driven like a Shelby and wait and see how things turn out after a few more miles logged on it

:-)
Sounds good to me. I will keep the forum posted on the progress.

Knew a girl once called a Shelby... so weird reading this post while thinking of her. You must love saying “Shelby”.

I've had a few full power runs (lol) and no codes. I certainly could see some moron put 89 octane in the tank and then whoop on it.

If they are saying it was bad gas, have them drain the tank and fill it with 91 or better. Its all in writing in the oasis, so I'd get it out of the dealership as soon as i can.

I was standing there when the dealership put Shell 93 into my car for the first tank. Nothing but Shell 93 thus far and plenty of WOT. Zero issues. Hopefully for you it is as simple as someone ran 89 in the car.

Good luck.
