It is very interesting that Farley / Ford really moved towards removing the Shelby badge from Ford, leaving it completely to the original owners. I kind was disappointed we had Ford Shelby GT350/500 listed on the ford website. Now Ford sets the ground equal - RTR, Shelby, Hennessy, Saleen they will all start on even terms in building their "on top of the basic GT" offerings, wihch is much better, and much simpler in terms of warranty handling.
I really entertain the idea of bying a 2019 GT350R which will become a true unicorn in the future. For me the most entertaining subject of the reveal was Shelby going back to Trans AM Series. They've been accused of becoming a company selling aftermarket parts from other makers just signing them with the shelby insignia. Now, going back to sports is something that I really would entertain watching / following.
