I am in Las Vegas and stopped by Shelby American museum and shop. I knew they had a GT350R that they auctioned off, but didn't know they had another in the museum. It seemed like a basic race red R, but had Shelby forged wheels (carbon fiber wheels removed) and some decal/badging differences. I didn't care for it, but I'll post the photos below.....

By the way.... Knights play tonight if youā€™re into hockey. Its a crazy experience compared to other hockey arenas.

I would, but heading to NY tonight, San Fran the next.

They had a cars and coffee event or something this am at Shelby American. It was interesting to see all the Shelby mustangs all in one spot.

Is there anything different about it other than the wheels and badges?

I don't think so. One of the great things about the R (which makes it unique) is the carbon fiber wheels. I sure as hell wouldn't remove them and then put a side stripe on it that says GT350R. It's almost as corny as getting one of those GT350 R badges for the side of your R. I could (and do) understand why you would have a set of street wheels and tires, but I believe it was Shelby trying to pimp out an R.

The offset on the rear wheels also tucks them in waaaay too much into the fender for it to look like a performance car. Yuck.

I think that belongs to the president of Shelby American
Donā€™t know about that. Pretty sure itā€™s just a car that the company owns and modified for display.

I was at SEMA too. I thought the SpeedKore Carbon GT350R looked better when it was in stock form. I was not a fan of the fender flares and new wing. And thought it was funny that they were calling it a 2019 when itā€™s JR262 (or something similar).

I like the stripe and am leaning on getting the wheels for my newly ordered 2019 GT350.

The other wheels I like for my future Velocity blue Shelby are the MRR F-6180 stock replicas.

Ah, now that it belongs to the president of the company that makes sense.

I kinda was thinking "It's for sale. Carbon wheels removed. SA badging. $19,995 package + cost of car. What a deal!" :cwl:

I wish Speedkore would be more up front about what type of REAL weight loss these cars are experiencing. First it was 400+ pounds of loss. Then it was some other goof number. Now it's 200+ pounds. Guys, just put the damn thing on a scale and be real. That's more impressive to me than listening to all of these weight loss claims which I still don't believe for a split second. Maybe the 200lbs or so but 400? Show me the car ON A CERTIFIED SCALE and if those numbers are legit, I'd be more than happy to eat crow.
