sorry for going off topic but how can you run a supercharger without being able to tune for it?

Whipple kit. Whipple partnered with ford and has their own tune for their kits.

Aftermarket tuning is not yet available so you can not further adjust that tune.

Whipple and ford are the only ones able to touch the ECU. While it has a tune it’s a very mild conservative tune.

What made you go gutless in the first place, with no tuning available? Just trying to understand. That should have scared you off knowing CEL code would be triggered.

You should get GT500 cats or buy replacement ones for your car from Ford

My cats had gone bad and I was afraid of causing more damage so I got them gutted. The CEL had already came the first day I got it back after the install had been completed.

While it has a tune it’s a very mild conservative tune.

They’re running something like 21 deg timing and letting it ride the knock sensors.

You could leave the exhaust as is and try this product to see if it helps tame the smell. It is o2 sensor. It’s safe and works with all fuels, so you won’t have anything to lose. It may get a little costly (about $14 more per fill up though). It comes in a myriad of scents (pina colada, root beer, cherry and many more).

Add longtubes with cats? Won't go away 100% but it will be a lot more tolerable

So after I got the car back with the whipple installed, i drove it back home was easy on it. Later that day I actually got more comfortable and started to gas it… Come later did some hard pulls and I got a CEL scanned with the tomahawk tool and it was throwing codes for both banks. Eventually took it back to the shop that did my install and they were also surprised about it. That’s when I was told I’m doing more harm than good and should go catless.. I was hesitant and recently pulled the trigger on this decision a few days ago. Now here I am disliking the smell entirely lol

What @GregO is asking is how you aren’t getting CEL light with no cats as you stated in post 3.
