I totally agree on spraying on the applicator towel I did my wife merc like that in the weekend In the heat and it give better control of how much you putting on.
Yes, I always spray the towel - facing away from the car to minimise unwanted overspray :like:

What's with the Turtlewax hybrid ceramic smeary film left behind doing application then new clean microfibre buff looks like oil residue smears....?
When you see this, the product has been applied too thick. Damp cloth to spread it and a dry microfiber to buff it in.

Should I wait some time between first wipe and buff or is back to back fine?

All I can say is wow! My leaf blower gets all the water off in no time! Way better than anything I've used.
just don't get any on your hands and then touch your eye. "eye irrantant" my ASS! It's a SEVERE eye irritant. Doesn't 'hurt' as such but it'll swell the outer membrane of your eye and turn it dark gray/black.

Ask me how I know.
20 solid minutes under an eye-wash station.

I use disposable gloves when handling the bottle and towel, and scrub the snot out of my forearms etc with a high-grit soap. Because it doesn't come off easy. If you use the spray bottle realize that the droplets go everywhere, not just where you think they went.

But lovely product, agreed.

As pepper spray is illegal and covered by the firearms act over here, I might start keeping a bottle of hybrid ceramic in the door pocket … :giggle:

HS, Matt! I've never had that happen with a detailing product but years ago when I installed my first irrigation system, I got in a hurry gluing pipe and accidentally splashed a big 'ol dose of PVC primer into my eyes.

OMG did it burn and I thought for sure I had done serious damage to my eyes but thankfully, after ten minutes or so with the hose going full tilt boogie onto my face and eyes, all was well. Consequently, I think I know what was going through your mind while leaning over that wash station.

TOO funny, WD but my condolences on the Firearms Act although thinking about it, you may not be a "gun guy." <smile> Therefive, you may not appreciate this decal I made for the windshield of my golf cart. (Keep in mind, the car was used mostly for shooting matches.) <BSEG>

I've been messing with a few of the parts store ceramic sprays (including the Turtle Wax stuff), and the Mothers CMX is pretty solid too.

My test beds are the two daily drivers, and initially the focus was trying this stuff on the wheels in the spring and fall in the hope of shedding brake dust and easy cleaning even in winter with our horrendous road chemicals. I haven't been disappointed, and generally the high pressure wand at the car wash does the trick with no scrubbing.

However, my favorite detail spray for the nice cars has become DRO Race Wax over time. The stuff is amazing.

I use other products for Ceramic coating but I use their CLEAN and SHINE to keep the car clean between sessions! 7$ and is an awesome awesome product!

I have used the Turtle Wax Ceramic and the DIY Graphene infused Ceramic sealant and streaking has been an issue with all of them. I usually don't find it until the next wash and dry. Then it takes a damp microfiber and some elbow grease to get it off.
I am thinking of going to Meguires sealant but wondering if there any issues putting over the Ceramic coatings.
