So, after dropping all the sedans, Ford decides to stretch the Mustang? I'd be happy with the Fusion sport. No need to dilute the Mustang name.

And that’s fine, we all have our opinions. I think a Mustang brand that is somewhat separate from Ford (even though it would remain under the mothership) would be cool. Sales are a fraction of what they were, they need to do something to draw more people in, otherwise it goes away entirely. Something cool like the 4 door sedan with the coyote in it, maybe a wagon along the lines of the old Caddy V wagon or AMG wagon. Hell, keep the Mach-E styling and drop a coyote in that thing.Yeah, have to disagree Mags. Mustang would then mean nothing. It would have no identity. How about a Civic truck, or civic SUV. Destroys what a civic is.
I could get behind this.Hell, keep the Mach-E styling and drop a coyote in that thing.
I’d likely buy one if it was offeredI could get behind this.
Definitely not a N. American product.
A good opinion. When I was younger I had a couple of Austin Minis. British Leyland apparently never made a dime on them over the 40 years of production. But what they did do was allow BL to negotiate better deals on common parts (think lug nuts) so they could make more money on their other vehicle lines. If creating a family of Mustang vehicles keeps the “real” one in production, then I say that’s a win.And that’s fine, we all have our opinions. Just my opinion though.
That makes one of us, I guess.I have a feeling they’re moving towards making Mustang its own “brand” as I mentioned earlier with the likes of Ram, Genesis, etc. I, as a consumer, would be on board with that. As long as the traditional Mustang fastback/coupe and vert live on, I’m good with more Mustang brand options.
IMO, if that actually happens, that’s not brand diminishment, that’s brand enhancement. The Mustang name lives on, opens it up to a much larger consumer pool and we enthusiasts/traditionalists still have an option to keep us happy. Sounds like a good proposition to me.
Fair enoughThat makes one of us, I guess.
This sort of shit won't make me buy another Mustang, but it might make me buy something else.
What the actual fu*k??I want that off-road lifted mustang so bad I can’t see straight. God I love em![]()
So we'll call it the "Mustang GTP Rally"This never gets old to me, but a shame they ended production.

why not the 3.0TT? Ford Fusion Sport had the 2.7TT but MKZ and Continental had a 3.0TT option AWD at 400HPA me
So we'll call it the "Mustang GTP Rally"
Put the 2.7TT v6 under the hood, 6MT sequential or dual-clutch.
