I put on the Ford Racing Touring exhaust after one week of ownership, and I was shocked to see the factory exhaust was already rusted. Isn't the factory exhaust supposed to be stainless steel? How can this happen after a week...IN FLORIDA??? It was built on a Wednesday and shipped that same Friday so it didn't sit outside long at Flat Rock. I suspect it came from the 3 week trip to Florida.

Anyway, I decided my Ford Racing Touring wasn't for me and before I put the factory exhaust back on I sand-blasted and painted it with high-heat paint. Here are the pictures. I'll post the Ford Racing Touring exhaust for sale on here soon. The Ford Racing stainless is very nice and still looks new after being on the car for 2 weeks.

I had the same issue and also slight rust on the rear end... not sure what to think of that. I seen this when I was putting my exhaust on as well.

Hey bud, i heard you were complaining about how loud the frpp touring exhaust was. Some mustang6g members are even saying the frpp sport exhaust is too quiet in the cabin, not even touring. I also want a quiet exhaust under normal driving conditions and cruising. What are your final thoughts? Do u think an axle back might solve the problem with the suitcase still attached? Loosing 30lbs is also not a bad idea so its hard to decide!

Nice pics, haven't looked that hard at mine but will when I get home tonight. And too bad I'm not in the market for that exhaust or I'd take you up on it.

If I was 25 years old I'd love the Touring exhaust, but I'm 50 and it was too much for me. Every time I'd take off from a light it sounded like I was trying to take off fast, and I really wasn't. The sound it puts out is AWESOME though. So crisp and tight.

I want an active exhaust system where I can make it quiet when I want or loud when I want. If no one comes out with a good system, and no one buys my old system, I'll put my Ford Racing on for track days only. It only takes about 40 minutes to swap it and a very easy job.

I took replaced my GT exhaust with a FRPP Touring, and noticed i was getting blowback around the seals of the backside of one of the mufflers.

Stock stainless is not very high quality. It barely qualifies as stainless and usually is even magnetic. It does and will rust just takes longer to rust through.

Hmm, I'm in same boat. I want something a bit louder outside but want it stock quiet in the cabin. I am considering lethals suitcase delete kit after hearing the in car start up video on their site. But I'm gonna do more research first.

I have the FR Touring Cat back and for me is just perfect. Not too loud and certainly no drone whatsoever. At highway speed is quiet. I would suggest to everyone to find someone nearby, if they can, that has the system to allow you to hear it in person that way you may have a feel for what it really sounds like instead of taking peoples word on it. Hope that helps!

I checked my FRPP over and over again for exhaust leaks and it was sealed tight. Maybe my hearing is just too sensitive. Running through the gears at 3.5K RPMs and higher sounded great and not as loud. My issues were with the low RPMs. I could really hear it in the cabin and had to turn up my base GT crappy speakers. Those speakers will be replaced! :D

I completely agree. What might be loud for me may be perfect for other people. Like I said before, it sound is awesome and you can hear how tight the engine is when this exhaust is installed. To me it has the best tone out of all the aftermarket I've heard. Wide open throttle is one of the best sounding engines I've heard yet.

I have several video clips in the car while driving, but the sound is really not translated through video.

ethanol in fuel=rusty exhaust. The by product of burning alcohol is water vapor. There also is no nickle in the stainless anymore. You should see this rusty magnaflow under my fox. And they wont replace it because its not full of holes, yet.

Factory system must be 409 stainless. Ford racing is 304 stainless.

There are huge differences in grades of Stainless. Not unusual at all.
