Just thought I'd make an open thread for people's experiences with these type products.

Today I used the Turtle Wax Hybrid that I've seen some people mention. It works good and leaves a pretty slick finish. I'm happy with it but it will leave some streaks that have to be wetted down again to buff out completely.

I used Simoniz Sure Shine over the hood just to see if there was any difference. Seems a little slicker possibly after it dries completely...it takes a few minutes to "cure" I guess you'd say. More forgiving with leaving streaks and buffing them out. I didn't try it out as a drying agent, I'm not sure it will work that way. The Turtle Wax actually says to use it that way.

Both great products that don't break the bank. We will see how they do for longevity.

Keep in mind my car has a bunch of other products on it already lol...but has never had a paint correction done nor has it been ceramic coated. I got the car used with 7K miles so the paint definitely was far from perfect when I got it.

Pic heavy...

I think Simoniz products get heavily overlooked but I've been happy with everything I've tried from them.

I’ve used the Turtle Wax for a couple years. It lasts fairly well. I’ll probably stick with it. I use it on all the glass too. Lasts longer than Rain-X.

Whatever you are using, keep using it as your car looks great but maybe this will last longer.👍https://www.turtlewax.com/cdn/shop/products/809dc7bb-9501-44f4-a254-f6e96fbc3f36.jpg?v=1648244228

This is hands down the best Turtle Wax product out there. I have been using it for years. I don't use it as a drying agent, but for slickness, shine and longevity this can't be beat at it's price. You can find this at your local auto parts store for anywhere from $7-$11 a bottle. It will streak on darker colored vehicles, but then all you have to do is wipe back over it with a water dampened cloth and streaks are gone. https://www.turtlewax.com/products/ice-seal-n-shine-hybrid-sealant-spray-wax-16fl-oz

I haven't used TW products in YEARS but sounds like they have really upped their game. I was heavy on the Beadmaker fan train for a long time, I still like it, the slickness and gloss is insane, but it can be very streaky and attracts dust really bad. I moved to Adams Slick and Slide, I like it really well but it is kinda funky and the colorant stains the bottles really bad, not a huge deal but still a little annoying. I just got a bottle of Armour Detail Supply Amplify a couple weeks ago. Used it last weekend after a wash and it is my new favorite so far. Spray directly on the drying towel and dry like normal. It wipes in smoothly, doesn't streak at all and leaves the finish extremely slick. Time will tell how long it lasts but so far so good...

Yeah all the TW products out now are waaaayyyyy better than they were when our Dad's were using them. I have tried most other name brand products out there and for the money and ease of application TW Seal and Shine is among the best.

Did a wash on my daily driver this morning. Topped it off with Armour detail supply amplify as a drying aid, my second use of this product so far. Fantastic. I love it. Slick under the towel and easy to apply. Leaves the paint super glossy and slick to the touch.

I've been using Griot's ceramic spray line for the past couple years. I use the ceramic quick detailer as a drying agent. No issues. I wish the soap had more suds but it is incredibly slick.

This kinda stuff is just too easy to use for the protection it gives, I can't see myself moving away from it anytime soon.

The TW streaks when applied to heavy. A lighter mist will stop that problem from what I figured out. It works great though.

I have heard great things about Griots. I like that my local auto parts store carries it. When I run out of some products I have on hand, I might have to give some a try.
