I've used the quick detail spray from Chemical Guys.
Like many have said, you can definitely introduce scratches, so if I do use it, I spray it on pretty thick, wipe one way with a clean part of the microfiber, fold it up a little and wipe the next swath. Only one pass per clean part of the microfiber.
Once it's all clean I don't feel too bad about spraying it on and wiping, but I try to do that as rarely as possible and will deal with it being dirty until I can foam and wash it the way I like to do it.
