Is there a product I can put in a spray bottle to do spot cleaning? Lift dirt without harming paint?

If it’s just for cleaning a spot here or there I use a quick detailed spray like McGuires etc. and a microfiber towel.

I use 3M product for rinseless washing. I do the whole car with it if not too nasty. It is green in color. I forget the name but it does a good job and smells decent.

You can also take any rinseless wash product and mix it with plain water in a bottle for spot cleaning. The makers usually give you a mixture concentration for this purpose. For example, Wolfgang recommends 1/3 oz per 16 oz bottle and ONR recommends 1 oz per 16 oz bottle.

I've used both with no problems.

Yeah I’d recommend buy a gallon or the smaller size of ONR or your favorite rinseless wash product and mix it yourself. Far more cost effective. Can make your own clay lube, quick detailer, interior cleaner etc.

Multi use products for the win.

My go to for that duty is Armour Detail Supply Adapt. Its their "waterless wash" and it works great... Very slick on the paint and can actually clean a bit. But as mentioned, most Rinseless wash concentrates will work great for that. ONR, DIY Detail, McKees, etc....

Any time you wipe dirt off the car you run the risk of putting tiny little scratches in the clear. One wipe will do essentially nothing, hundreds will cloud the clear coat.

However, I give my car little spot wipes from time to time because I live in an area where if I drive two feet my car is “dirty”. That being said, CarPro Elixir is currently my go to. Microfiber, I usually use theragcompany for my supplies.

Just my suggestions, @DFB5.0 will have a wealth of information on cleaning/detailing.

For what is effectively "water-less" washing, you want something that encapsulates the dust to make it safer on your paint. Any "detail spray" will do this, but grab yourself a bottle of Optimum No Rinse (ONR) as you can use it in multiple ways not just the water-less wash ratio.

Optimum - No Rinse Wash and Shine (ONR) | The Rag Company

ONR 256:110 LT40ml10 LTRinseless Washing
128:1500 ml4 ml500 mlWaterless Washing
64:1500 ml8 ml500 mlClay Lubricant
16:1470 ml30 ml500 mlQuick Detailer

As you can see, this is a dilutable product, so make sure you get a spray bottle with it.

I like ONR for this because its super slick and has high encapsulation.

Yeah, the latest ONR is pretty dang good. I hadn't bought a bottle for a few years till recently. I noticed the new formulation is slicker when you're drying the car. Very noticeable since Cquartz UK is not a terribly slick feeling coating. The ONR makes the car feel totally different. I think McKees n914 was better than the previous formulation of ONR but ONR V5 is better than n914.

I use the Blackfire Waterless Wash from autogeek.net with a good microfiber towel. It lubricates the surface as well as clean to leave a nice slick shine between applying sealants.

I've always preferred the feel of ONR over N-914, to me it just feels slicker during and after use.
